Dear Rare Male Slasher
Jun. 9th, 2023 04:50 pmHello Rare Male Slasher! That you for offering one of my favorite ships. I’m requesting a mix of current loves and old favorites, and please do not read anything into order or number of prompts or anything like that – I will be delighted with any ship here, I just have more ideas for some than others. Since these are rare ships I’ve tried to include some clips or panels that show what I really love about them, and doing so made me fall in love with some all over again. ♥ Any rating is welcome.
I’ve also tried to include availability when I could; most are available via streaming in the US, but I don’t know about outside the US availability.
Also, some of these ships I have requested before and my tastes are very consistent – if there was a prompt on a previous letter that isn’t on this one, it is either because I am a dummy and forgot or because I ran out of space, feel free to use any past prompts if there was one that particularly struck your eye, that would be amazing.
DNWs: noncon, A/B/O, D/s with lots of formal negotiation, face-sitting, bathroom related bodily fluids, violence directed at genitals, pregnancy, bashing of canon love interests, daddy kink, permanent character death of named characters not dead in canon, spanking, setting change/no power AUs
General likes: UST finally spilling over, first time/get together fics, unspoken feelings that stay unspoken but are blindingly obvious anyway, bedside vigils/general watching over someone, fraught handholding (especially combined with the bedside vigiling) angst and uncertainty leading into happy endings, sneaking around, sex pollen especially when it’s one-sided, bloodplay, knifeplay, clothes sharing, dramatic rescues/sacrifices, pining, rope bondage, breathplay, road trips, significant gestures, missing scenes/episode tags, time travel, Groundhog Day loops, True Love Saves the Day, 5 Things fics, crossroad deals/deals with the devil, any and all kinds of supernatural nonsense, unexpected acts of kindness, someone physically putting themselves between a loved one and harm, creative use of superpowers, dreamsharing
Treats of all kinds are very welcome and appreciated!
Stargirl TV
Charles McNider/Richard Swift
Stargirl is about Courtney Whitmore, a teenage girl from LA who moves to idyllic small town Nebraska when her mom and discovers that her new stepdad used to be sidekick to the superhero Starman, who was a member of the Justice Society of America until they were all killed by their villainous counterparts the ISA ten years before. She inherits/kind of steals Starman’s cosmic staff to become a superhero in her own right, and she and her friends become the new JSA. It is my favorite superhero show possibly ever?
But we’re not here to talk about Courtney. Charles McNider was in the original JSA as Dr. Mid-Nite; he is an actual medical doctor and a low-key tech genius, but a mob hit on his clinic (targeting a patient he was operating on) left him blind except for in complete darkness. He developed glasses and goggles to help him compensate in daylight and apparently for funsies programed full AI into the goggles that was is a major character in S1. He is the kind of person who builds defibrillators into the gloves of his superhero costume just in case something goes wrong in the field.
Richard Swift is much more commonly called the Shade; he is over 200 years old, is apparently functionally immortal, has control over shadows and draws power from a hellish nightmare realm called the Shadowlands, and was a member of the ISA. He shows up at the start of S2 looking for an artifact called the black diamond, something connected to a very dangerous villain named Eclipso and generally making himself look very untrustworthy, especially since one of the first things we ever see him do is drag Dr. Mid-Nite away into the abyss during the fatal JSA vs ISA fight.
And then we find out that’s not...exactly how it happened. 😊
I love Shadenite so much, you truly cannot go wrong. Early days when they were still ostensibly enemies back in the JSA days, what happened that night with the absinthe (we’ll get to it,) post-canon, everything is good. I also love Jennie and Todd, so feel free to include them if the story is set post-S3. The little bits and pieces we get are so good, and I would love anything that fills in those pieces, both how they got there and what they do now. I’m fine with Myra being mostly ignored, but I do like having some guilt if things are happening while he’s married, or him desperately trying to compartmentalize his life (especially if he’s doing the secret identity thing, meaning there are huge swathes of his life he can’t share with her.) I like his life being messier than he ever let the rest of the JSA know (even currently! Completely headcanon that he was outright lying to Pat about things going great in S3, either because he didn’t want anyone to feel sorry for him or just because he’s so used to keeping up appearances.)
McNider and Shade are only physically in the same room for…maybe five minutes? But here are my favorite scenes with them talking about each other:
The Shade meeting Courtney and the drama of the man all through it. Also features the Shade getting very offended by Courtney’s accusation that he’s working with Eclipso (“Don't you know there's a difference between bad and evil?” is one of the great banger lines) as he tells Courtney how Eclipso murdered McNider’s young daughter. I especially enjoy how he doesn’t actually have an answer for Courtney when she asks why he’s getting so wound up about all this.
“Kill me? No, Beth, he saved me.” McNider is so surprised that anyone could think that the Shade might have killed him! Somehow! Also features McNider dropping Shade’s entire tragic backstory, which seems to know extremely well!
I love the little half-laugh McNider does at the “Because he’s...complicated” line, there’s so much in there. This is when we find out that the Shade showed up drunk and guilty over Rebecca McNider’s murder in the middle of the night, and what a gift to us all that is. And yes, this means Charles McNider tells two different people at two different times that he believes the Shade was different from the rest of the ISA – and he was right.
I am very up for pre-relationship/pre-slash JSA era fic BTW! As long as there are clear Feelings, even if the two of them aren’t sure about or aren’t ready to speak to what those feelings are yet.

All three seasons of Stargirl are streaming on Max, and the first two seasons are out on bluray.
Prompts
- So why is McNider so convinced that the Shade is different from the rest of the ISA? When did that happen? What did the Shade do that was so convincing that even after all the time trapped in the Shadowlands he was so sure that the Shade had been trying to save him?
- The first time Shade called him “Charles,” and why he keeps letting Shade do it.
- Anything with the Men of Tears – them finding the Shade again, either in the JSA era or current day, McNider finding out about the Shade’s tragic backstory, the Shade being in so much pain or out of it that he thinks they have him again, etc. Bring on the angst.
- Speaking of old enemies, the Maroni crime family getting very interested in why McNider is suddenly back after falling off the face of the earth for ten years
- The Shade and Dr. Mid-Nite having to team up against a mutual enemy back in the JSA days (I am especially weak for the two of them being captured and having to escape together, or being imprisoned together and having to keep each other going.)
- The first time the Shade found out about McNider’s eyes and how they got that way (it’s not strictly canon, but I do like there being visible scarring without the goggles)
- Simon Culp possessing the Shade, either as part of the Men of Tears (because he was definitely one of them) or just him being his charming self.
- JSA era Shade getting badly hurt (the staff, Alan’s green fire, the Spectre, a third party villain, etc) and McNider protecting him from further harm/trying to treat him even though this was definitely not covered in medical school/just staying and sitting with him, and the Shade not really understanding why he would do that.
- The opposite, McNider getting hurt/almost dying and the Shade intervening.
- Everything McNider left out about the night the Shade showed up with the absinthe (or if he didn’t leave anything out, what happened when Shade showed up the next night.)
- The Shade having to go to the Shadowlands for something (maybe the green fire is still a problem, or there’s something else brewing there) but once he’s there the Shadowlands won’t let him leave.
- Alan comes back from the dead, or Sylvester comes back for real, or the Spectre shows up dangerous and unstable without a host; whoever it is, they are VERY confused by the Shade’s apparent change of heart and don’t buy it for a second – and they’re very thrown by McNider not only being alive too, but by he and the Shade being...close
- Someone back in the JSA days finds out about the Shade showing up at McNider’s house, or sees them together, and jumps to the conclusion that the Shade is up to no good and take matters into their own hands.
- Shadow power enhanced sex, or McNider knowing that the Shade is watching him from the Shadows and getting off on in, or both of them getting off on McNider undressing him, or it having been so long since someone touched the Shade like a person instead of a shadow monster that he almost comes out of his skin when McNider touches him.
DCEU/Black Adam
Carter Hall/Kent Nelson
Kent Nelson is Dr. Fate, one of the world foremost experts on magic and, among other things, the current host of the helmet of Nabu, an artifact possessed by an alien intelligence that half possesses Kent when he uses it, give him visions of the future and is generally made of nightmares. I also extends his lifespan – he’s old enough that he remembers seeing RAF planes going off to war at the start of WW1. Carter Hall is Hawkman – he also has some alien technology, but at least his doesn’t possess him. Instead his wings, armor and mace are made a Thangardian Nth metal, and in addition to enabling him to fly it ups his strength enough for him to pick cars up over his head.Together they fight crime. They’re on the Justice Society together, which is at least to some extent run by Amanda Waller which is…a little strange, since they’re both very opposed to killing, but it seems to be working out?
When we meet them Carter has just pulled Kent out of retirement to deal with Black Adam (“I can’t do this without him”); meanwhile, unbeknownst to Carter, Kent has had a vision of Carter’s apparently extremely imminent death – and he is VERY motivated to keep that vision from coming true.
Black Adam is...not the best movie? It’s fine. It has some fun side characters! Its could probably lose about twenty minutes, and it’s an objectively bad adaptation of Teth Adam as a character – but Dr. Fate and Hawkman are so good in this movie. Aldis Hodge and Pierce Brosnan manage to pack so much history into their maybe fifteen minutes of screentime, you really believe they have known and loved each other forever.
It was actually annoyingly difficult to find good scenes? My kingdom for a Hawkfate supercut. There’s a great scene near the beginning where Kent and Carter are alone in a room for the first time in clearly a while, and they immediately start giving each other shit, Kent complaining about Carter always ignoring his advice and Carter saying how much he’d missed Kent saying cryptic shit to him. They’re so fond of each other and it’s wonderful.
I love how half the time in this clip Kent has his eyes on Carter instead of the big bad they’re trying to bring in.
•
Prompts
- Fix-it for Kent being dead, because obviously now
- Early days in the Justice Society, their first missions together, all of that. I’d love to see how it all started
- Bad guys roughing Kent up in demeaning ways – backhanding him, dragging him by his hair, etc – and Carter losing his mind about it
- Carter being injured or near death and Kent using magic to save him, but the spell is slowly killing Kent instead (especially if Carter doesn’t realize what he’s doing at first)
- Kent being held by bad guys far away and reaching out to Carter through his dreams/with magic/etc
- Kent letting himself get captured/tortured/wounded because he’s already seen that Carter will save him/find him in the end
- Kent willingly submitting to a spell or locking himself in a magic device that will save the day but is painful enough to be torture, and Carter can’t help him but won’t leave him either
- A few years after the movie, when the worst of the grief has passed, a new Dr. Fate shows up, but when Carter goes to investigate who this is he find out that it’s not the helmet picking someone new – it’s Kent alive again, but no memory of anything before waking up wearing the helmet, and that includes Carter (because Nabu brought back his body but not his soul? The magic that brought him back was traumatic enough to wipe his mind? Nabu intentionally wiped his memories, thinking it would make him a better/more effective/more pliable host? Go nuts
- Something magic happens and everyone except Carter forgets that Dr. Fate ever existed
- SOUL. BONDS.
- My kingdom for fic where Cater uses his superstrength to hold Kent up against the wall one-handed. Sexy superstrength, PLEASE. Also, Kent using sexy sex magic
- Relatedly, Kent needing to do a sex magic ritual and this is how they find out they have not actually been hopelessly pining after all
- Nabu pulls one of his "KENT NELSON IS GONE, THERE IS ONLY THE IMMORTAL LORD OF ORDER" stunts, subsuming Kent's mind, and Carter is very Absolutely Not about it all

Sebastian Blood/Oliver Queen
Sebastian Blood/Oliver Queen/Slade Wilson
Sebastian Blood is an alderman from the Glades section of Starling City, basically representing the wrong side of the tracks, and a large part of his story is his mayoral campaign (tip for a long life: do not become mayor of Starling City.) Along the way, Sebastian develops a friendship with Oliver Queen, whose mother is the opposing candidate for mayor and also develops a friendship of sorts with the Arrow, who has his hands full trying to keep Sebastian from getting assassinated. Sebastian Blood is also Brother Blood, leader of what’s basically a cult experimenting with an experimental super solider drug, and his whole operation is being underwritten by Slade Wilson. Sebastian doesn’t know that Oliver is the Arrow. Oliver doesn’t know that Sebastian is also the masked weirdo he’s been tracking down all season. Sebastian doesn’t know Slade’s connection to Oliver, and he DEFINITELY doesn’t know that Slade has been lying his sexy ass off the entire time and intends to blow up the city to spite Oliver. The entire mess is the platonic ideal of identity porn and I loved every second of it.
The best part of watching the trainwreck friendship between Oliver and Sebastian develop is that they both genuinely love their city. When Slade targets Oliver’s family, Sebastian is horrified and wants to protect him because he has no idea why he’s doing that, meanwhile when Oliver finds out Sebastian is working with Slade, he tries to warn Sebastian because he know that whatever Slade told him is a lie, and he’s so desperate for Sebastian to believe him that he straight up tells him he’s the Arrow even though he knows Sebastian is working with his worst enemy. It’s so good.
Some clips:
Oliver and Sebastian talking politics and Sebastian almost getting shot:
Sebastian isn’t listening to Ollie, so the Arrow goes to warn him that what he’s about to do is way too dangerous:
Ollie tells him he’s the Arrow in a last ditch effort to get him to see sense:
Sebastian is a love interest for Laurel, which frankly only adds to the messiness of it all, feel free to lean into that or not.
•
Prompts:
- Sebastian and Oliver fucking in Sebastian’s campaign office
- Oliver following Sebastian on patrols/tailing him to make sure he’s safe in a way that’s a little more intense than is necessary
- Slade figuring out that something’s going on here and hurting Sebastian to get a rise out of Oliver, with Sebastian trying to stay in character/protect his cover while Slade and Oliver have an entirely different understanding of what’s going on here than he does (this is an exception my noncon DNW, Slade can have a little noncon as a treat, although regular nonsexual whump is great too.)
- Sebastian getting caught in an assassination attempt – building collapse, bleeding out, etc., - and Oliver racing the clock to save him/having to deal with another crisis at the same time and knowing he might have to choose
- Sebastian coming back from the dead and dragging himself to Oliver’s door (maybe Barry did it? Who knows.)
- Obviously Sebastian is not a vampire in Arrow the way he is in the comics…but he COULD be. (Being stabbed changes a man.)
- Slade finding out that Sebastian is soft on Oliver and making him do increasingly depraved things to keep Oliver “safe,” while Oliver can tell Sebastian is unraveling but he doesn’t know why. Maybe Slade taunts Oliver with how it’s all his fault this is happening to his friend. (Feel free to change who knows what when from how it goes in canon.)
- Oliver and Sebastian having bad idea sex in general
- Slade surveilling them and watching Sebastian and Ollie together and absolutely not getting twitchy about seeing Oliver with someone else. (I ship Slade/Oliver very hard, so them having had that history on Lian Yu would be great.
Sebastian’s whole story takes place in S2 of Arrow, which is streaming on Netflix.
Love is a bullet to the brain.
We meet John Diggle when he is hired as a half-bodyguard/half babysitter for a just back from Lian Yu Oliver Queen, and he and Oliver quickly become friends and Diggle a valued part of Oliver’s mission to save Starling City. He’s the straightest of straight arrows, served with distinction in the military, is the one who’s there to tell Ollie when he’s doing something even dumber than usual. Meanwhile, Floyd Lawton is a vet too, but that’s where the similarities seem to end – Floyd is an assassin for hire who tattoos the names of his kills on his body, and very shortly after he’s introduced we discover that one of those names is John’s brother Andy. (Although we find out much later that Andy actually faked his own death to join the black ops group HIVE. John does not take it well!) There’s no reason why John Diggle should have any warm feelings about Deadshot.
So it is fantastic that he does! Their friendship is such a great slow burn over three seasons – even John is a little confused about why he cares about whether Floyd Lawton lives or dies, and for his part even though he mocks John’s moral core he admires it, too. John Diggle is the man Floyd wishes he could have been – a good man, a good soldier, a good husband, a good father – but knows he won’t ever be. Floyd is passively suicidal the entire time we know him and it bothers John so much, and Floyd is always kind of bemused about why John cares. There’s also a great throughline with their shared military service – Floyd was turned into a weapon, chewed up and then spit out by the military, and then he goes on to be used as a weapon by a long line of people – HIVE, Argus, Amanda Waller and the Suicide Squad, etc., and John knows he could have been Floyd if things had shaken out differently. They’re so great and I will always hold a grudge against the first Suicide Squad movie because it meant Deadshot had to be written out of Arrow.
Clips:
John has Floyd at gunpoint but can’t pull the trigger. “That’s the thing about honor, John. You can’t turn it on and off.”
John breaking orders (he’s working with Argus) to go rescue Floyd:
Some canon hurt/comfort! (the redhead is Cupid, another archer who is not well and thinks she’s in love with Floyd. It was not great.)
I’m fine with Layla being ignored, but I would also be into John feeling guilty about not being able to keep himself away from Floyd (Layla has enough shady secrets of her own! She may even encourage it, thinking that John is leading Floyd on to keep him in line because that’s what someone trained by Amanda Waller would think.)
•
Prompts
- John finding out that Floyd didn’t actually die in the explosion but has been buried deep in black ops, with the Suicide Squad or people even worse than the Squad, and making up his mind to find him
- Floyd contacting John when he’s in a very bad situation that’s killing him slowly – bleeding out, caught in a building collapse, trapped somewhere and running out of air – but either not able or not willing to tell John where he is, and John having to figure out how to get to him
- Floyd liking a little pain during sex and risky kinks in general, and John being conflicted on how much he likes indulging him
- The opposite, John absolutely refusing to be anything but gentle with Floyd during sex and Floyd getting so frustrated about that it’s basically edging and works anyway
- These two are made for undercover missions, please have Waller and Argus send the into every gay bar and mafia den and bratva hideout possible
- Floyd having to let himself be hurt or menaced to maintain his cover and John getting very twitchy about it while Floyd is mystified about what the big deal is, that stuff just happens. (Sexual and non sexual menacing is fine! Bad guys can also have a little noncon as a treat.)
- John canonically hallucinates Floyd after he kills Andy – more of that. Maybe John gets fixated on the idea that if Andy was alive, maybe Floyd is too, and he’s right
- Some kind of magic/speed force/whatever nonsense happens and John gets a glimpse of Floyd being alive and trouble, and everyone tries to talk him down but John knows what he saw
- An alive again Floyd tattooing Andy’s name on John after John has to kill him
Floyd shows up intermittently in the first three seasons of Arrow until his death in 3.17. Arrow is streaming on Netflix.
Wilson Fisk/James Wesley
I love me some loyal right hands, and James Wesley is THE loyal right hand. I love how they talk to each other when they’re alone – Wesley worships the ground Fisk walks on but he’ll still ask questions about what Fisk’s doing and why, and even when Fisk doesn’t tell him everything you get the sense he’s a little sad about it (and especially with the more mystical stuff, that he’s protecting Wesley from having to know about that nonsense.) Fisk leans on Wesley so much, and while he does consider Wesley a friend he also considers Wesley his, and Wesley is completely fine with that. I love it. I love Wesley’s hyper competence, and how badly he needs to be of service to Fisk and how attuned Wesley is to his moods. And of course Fisk absolutely losing his shit when Wesley dies is perfection.
I adore Vanessa and while this isn’t the exchange for Wesley/Fisk/Vanessa, I think she would be 100% on board with that and them being together (Wesley did get there first after all) and frankly would be a little surprised if they hadn’t slept together at least once – like Wilson, you see the way he looks at you, right? Come now. I am very for wild amounts of pining from Wesley during canon periods, but if he comes back from the dead I would like them to on page get together if they hadn’t before then.
I love the way he takes his glasses off to talk to Fisk here, I wonder if he even needs them or if they’re just for the image:
Fanvid!
“I just, I don’t...like the way he speaks to you.”
•
Prompts
- Anything from the early days, when it was just the two of them with very big dreams
- How they met – we know virtually nothing about MCU Wesley aside from him speaking a lot of languages and that he’s not from New York City – how did Wilson Fisk happen to this man’s life?
- Anything with rival organizations hurting Wesley to get to Fisk, or Wesley letting himself be captured so Fisk can get away, and Fisk losing his entire mind over it. It doesn’t happen in canon but it SHOULD have, canon divergence that up
- Rivals or dirty cops torturing Wesley to give up information on Fisk, which obviously he is never going to do
- That first kiss, either in the past or after Wesley comes back to life
- Wesley’s ghost haunting Fisk, or Fisk talking to Wesley out of habit when he’s alone and realizing that maybe he’s not alone, or Vanessa knows Wesley is there but Fisk doesn’t see him because it hurts too much
- Fisk seeing Wesley when he’s near death – maybe Wesley leads him out of the fire at the end of Hawkeye, etc
- Fisk and Wesley being reunited in the afterlife when Fisk gets Snapped (it’s probably pretty hot down there!) but Wesley can’t come with him when Fisk resurrects with everyone else after the five years
- During a multiverse event a different universe’s James Wesley who’s in a lot of trouble manages to contact this universe’s Wilson Fisk, and while Fisk couldn’t save his own Wesley he sure as hell is going to save this one (and maybe keep him, depending on the situation)
- So from the Loki show we know there has got to be at least one Variant Wesley who survived that shooting/didn’t let Karen take his gun/had second thought about that confrontation and got scooped up by the Time Agents, and if that Wesley managed to contact Fisk and tell him that people had him and he didn’t know where he was, Wilson Fisk sure would be upset about that!
Wesley is in S1 of Daredevil (with mentions in S3.) Daredevil is streaming on Disney+.
Aleksander Creote/Brian Durlin
Brian Durlin/Savant is a poor little rich boy genius hacker and skilled fighter who at various times is a villain or…lets say superhero adjacent. Oracle at one point makes a project out of him to turn him from villainy and it mostly works! He becomes a valued ally to the Birds of Prey team during Gail Simone’s run on the book, to the point that Barbara tells Batman, “He’s one of ours.” Savant also has a rather serious comic book neurological condition that affects how he processes time – a conversation that happened yesterday gets forgotten because to him that was ten years ago, or he forgets the order he met people when, etc., but it also lets him hack and train with incredible focus because two days pass by like two hours. This becomes a major issue when he winds up tortured by Calculator’s goons – this would be traumatic enough by itself, but because of how his mind works for the two years after it always felt like it had just happened. Aleksander Creote is Savant’s hyper loyal hired muscle right hand that he met at some point in Russia and from then on Creote was at his side. By all accounts it was love at first sight for Creote and Savant had no clue.
Things come to a head when Savant finally cracks under the post-traumatic stress; he forces a promise out of Creote to not interfere, then he lures Oracle to the top of a dam and tries to throw himself off after telling her how he couldn’t handle the memories of the torture any more, only for Barbara to throw herself out of her wheelchair to stop him. Creote then shows up and helps Barbara save him, and when Savant asks why Creote broke his promise Barbara tells him it’s because Creote loves you, you idiot. It’s so great.
I love them so much, and I love how Gail Simone writes them. I would be happy with anything here. I don’t mind a story set in current DC but I would like their BoP characterizations and character designs (which if the pin up in the Pride issue means anything they may be back to anyway? Who knows?)

•
Prompts
- Anything set while Savant is unraveling, especially between the faked suicide and the genuine attempt at the dam
- How they met!
- Creote letting himself be tortured because he knows Savant cannot go through that again, but Savant finds watching/hearing Creote go through it is even worse than what he went through himself
- Anything when they were undercover for Barbara in Calculator’s organization
- Interacting with Khoa or any other heroes who weren’t around during the BoP run (good or bad interactions!)
- Remember that stint Riddler had as a PI. That was great, right? Now imagine Savant and Creote working with him! Even better, right?
- Creote going missing and Savant panicking because not only would he not just disappear, he can’t actually be sure how long it’s been
- Savant getting kidnapped and while he’s not hurt, he doesn’t have access to the medication he uses to manage his condition and his sense of time starts slipping
- The two of them figuring out where they stand after the attempt at the dam and all the conversations they need to have (or that they don’t have!)
Creote was created by Gail Simone and his first issue is #56 of her 2003 run. Birds of Prey is available on DC infinite or in TPB (but not alas as an omnibus yet)
Wyatt Earp/Doc Holiday
I have the clip from when Wyatt and Doc reunite in the move and I love how laser focused on they are on each other and how easily they fall in rhythm, the retired lawman and the incorrigible gambler. They’re one of the great friendships in history and Tombstone has my favorite version of them. Throughout the movie you see how much regard they have for each other – the movie is such a love story. They’re one of my oldest OTPs and I would love anything with them.
Reunion
“Wyatt Earp is my friend”
This scene is one the Director’s cut and has Kate trying to talk Doc out of joining Wyatt’s revenge ride.
•
Prompts
- A cocky gunslinger rides into town bragging that he shot the great Doc Holliday the next town over and Wyatt completely losing his shit
- Anything from the beginning – how they met, the first time Doc had a consumptive fit in front of him, the first time they got into a gunfight together, first kiss, all of it. Do not feel beholden to history, the movie itself certainly wasn’t
- Wyatt being hurt and Doc going on a self-destructive warpath over it
- Either one of them trying to keep the other alive after he’s shot
- The two of them holed up in an abandoned homestead with a storm rolling in
- Doc having a high fever and Wyatt sitting bedside trying to get him through the night
- 5 times fic of Doc and Wyatt falling into bed
- Wyatt knowing Doc’s in trouble even though they’re towns apart and riding out on the hunch
- Similarly, Doc being hurt/captured by outlaws and Wyatt carving a swath through the town/county to get to him. I'd especially like Doc being very smug and sure that Wyatt will come for him even as he's bleeding and beat up, and ESPECIALLY especially if that really seems pretty unlikely, objectively
Tombstone is streaming on Paramount+ and Tubi.
Thank you!

•
- Fandom Specific Likes:
• The Shade being obviously not human, especially when hurt: colder to the touch than he should be, not breathing when he’s not making a point of it, bleeding shadows instead of blood, etc
• McNider’s being a doctor affecting how he thinks and his priorities
• Anything with how McNider sees, both the advantages and the limitations. I also like him having visible scarring when he’s not wearing his glasses or goggles which isn’t…strictly canon, I guess? But while we see he eyes through the goggles we never see his eyes open without them, so it’s possible
• The Shade having been a thief and a con artist in his mortal life coming in handy
• McNider getting very hot and bothered by seeing the Shade in less than full get up – missing the just suitcoat but still in the waistcoat and shirtsleeves for example, or in his shirtsleeves but still with the hat, or having to keep himself from staring at the Shade’s hands because he’s so used to seeing him in gloves.
• Shade loving to show off with his powers during sex and McNider loving watching him show off, but the Shade also being a little touch starved and almost coming out of his skin when McNider touches him
All three seasons of Stargirl are streaming on Max, and the first two seasons are out on bluray.
Carter Hall/Kent Nelson
DCEU/Black Adam
Carter Hall/Kent Nelson
Kent Nelson is Dr. Fate, one of the world foremost experts on magic and, among other things, the current host of the helmet of Nabu, an artifact possessed by an alien intelligence that half possesses Kent when he uses it, give him visions of the future and is generally made of nightmares. I also extends his lifespan – he’s old enough that he remembers seeing RAF planes going off to war at the start of WW1. Carter Hall is Hawkman – he also has some alien technology, but at least his doesn’t possess him. Instead his wings, armor and mace are made a Thangardian Nth metal, and in addition to enabling him to fly it ups his strength enough for him to pick cars up over his head.

• Magical nonsense. Anything and everything, I have no limit for magical nonsense
• Mission fic
• Amanda Waller being just the worst possible human being ♥
• Carter knowing that he reincarnates affecting how he thinks
• So much pining – Kent because he’s so much older and/or he thinks it’s a nonstarter because Carter has a destined soulmate, and Carter thinking that if Kent was interested at all he would have picked up what he’d been putting down at some point.
• Kent running himself ragged using magic and Carter not able to stop him because it needs to be done but hating every second of it. Passing out, coughing up blood, not sleeping for days, bring it all on. Whump that man
• Wingfic, either magically grown wings or with Carter’s Nth metal ones. Kent growing wings would be fun

ArrowverseSebastian Blood/Oliver Queen

- Really leaning into the identity porn, where no one knows who the other actually is (except for Ollie and Slade, who knows EXACTLY who each other are)
• Ollie being protective of Sebastian, even though he should be his enemy on multiple levels
• Sebastian trying to do good in the worst possible ways
• Sebastian speaking Spanish
• Sebastian feeling out of his depth with Oliver’s absurd wealth
John Diggle/Floyd Lawton
John Diggle/Floyd LawtonLove is a bullet to the brain.
•
- Fandom Specific Likes:
• Floyd being an absurdly good shot
• Floyd liking being held at gunpoint during sex or otherwise not caring about things being safe or sane
• John caring if Floyd is hurt or in trouble way more than Floyd himself does
• Anything with Floyd losing the eye – whether it still bothers him, his high-tech scope, him adjusting for it when shooting without the scope, etc
• Mission fic
• Floyd’s tattoos – John touching them, him being both repelled and attracted to them, him being turned on by them and feeling a little sick about it, etc.
Daredevil/MCUWilson Fisk/James Wesley
•

• The two of them being very aware of each other, especially Wesley of Fisk
• Wesley being very deliberate in constructing his image, from his suit to his watch to his glasses, etc
• Wesley being on call 24/7 for Fisk and not seeing anything wrong with that
• How completely ruthless and comfortable with violence Wesley is, as long as he’s not committing it himself
• The day to day of running a criminal enterprise – Wesley getting the car detailed after Fisk decapitates a man in it, having to manage all of the contractors, landing the properties, etc, love that stuff
• Fisk knowing Wesley was in love with him and not knowing how to feel about that, until it was too late to feel anything about that
Savant/Creote
DC Comics/Birds of PreyAleksander Creote/Brian Durlin
Who knows?)

• Off the charts loyalty kink
• Creote helping Savant manage his life
• The size difference – Savant is tall himself but Creote is just a huge human being
• The two of them training together
• Competence porn from each of them
• Savant’s very clear moral line coming up – he has an enormous file on various heroes but doesn’t use it, even under torture
Wyatt Earp/Doc Holliday
Tombstone 1993Wyatt Earp/Doc Holiday
I have the clip from when Wyatt and Doc reunite in the move and I love how laser focused on they are on each other and how easily they fall in rhythm, the retired lawman and the incorrigible gambler. They’re one of the great friendships in history and Tombstone has my favorite version of them. Throughout the movie you see how much regard they have for each other – the movie is such a love story. They’re one of my oldest OTPs and I would love anything with them.

• Wyatt defending Doc to Virgil, who disapproves of all of this (not even in a homophobic way, just in a "why this one, Wyatt?")
• Doc having a death wish and Wyatt desperate trying to save him from it, even if he knows in his head that Doc would rather die in a hail of gunfire than in his sickbed his heart can’t accept it
• Wyatt losing it at seeing Doc hurt or manhandled and not really thinking too hard about why he has that reaction, and Doc being very amused by all of it
• Likewise Wyatt not thinking very hard about how he keeps winding up in Doc’s bed (meanwhile Doc doesn’t care what other people think of him, but he does care what they think of Wyatt)
• Dramatic gunfights and bedside vigils after gunfights
Prompts
- A cocky gunslinger rides into town bragging that he shot the great Doc Holliday the next town over and Wyatt completely losing his shit

Thank you!
