HELLO and I am sorry about the late letter! If you've already started, keep going and don't even look at this, likes and DNWs were already in my sign up and these are all just optional and extra.

DNWs: noncon, omegaverse, D/s with lots of formal negotiation, face-sitting, bathroom related bodily fluids, violence directed at genitals, pregnancy, bashing of canon love interests, daddy kink, permanent character death of named characters not dead in canon, spanking, setting change/no power AUs, non-canon permanent injuries (temporary/magically healed/etc ones are fine)

General likes: UST finally spilling over, first time/get together fics, unspoken feelings that stay unspoken but are blindingly obvious anyway, bedside vigils/general watching over someone, fraught handholding (especially combined with the bedside vigiling) angst and uncertainty leading into happy endings, sneaking around, sex pollen especially when it’s one-sided, bloodplay, knifeplay, clothes sharing, dramatic rescues/sacrifices, pining, rope bondage, breathplay, road trips, significant gestures, missing scenes/episode tags, time travel, Groundhog Day loops, True Love Saves the Day, 5 Things fics, crossroad deals/deals with the devil, any and all kinds of supernatural nonsense, unexpected acts of kindness, someone physically putting themselves between a loved one and harm, gore, creative use of superpowers, dreamsharing, canon divergent AUs

Treats very welcome as are fics of all ratings.

Everyone here I do ship, so shippy fic is definitely more than welcome, but I also love pre-ship stories and pining and intense relationships where no one is up to recognizing what they're feeling just yet, as well as just deep loyalty and friendship in general. All four relationships are similar in that they're people who have to depend on each other and count on each other in dangerous situations with enemies lined up against them, because that is who I am as a person, and I love those little moments of trust and care in those kinds of relationships.

Black Adam and Stargirl are fandoms I've requested many times before, so feel free to look at old letters if nothing here clicks.

Requested Characters: Richard Swift & Charles McNider

SHADENITE. I love these two so much and all the little hints of what he get of their past and what gets unsaid. Charles believes in the Shade so much, to the point that he tries to convince both Beth and Courtney in two separate conversations that they should maybe trust the Shade and that he's was different from the rest of the ISA. He's so shocked that people think the Shade killed him! And the Shade is such a wreck when he thinks Charles is dead because of him! I love them so much and would love anything with their backstory and what they do after the S3.

Special note for shippy fic: I generally go with the headcanon that Charles was lying through his teeth about his happy family life in S3, and in pre-canon as long as Myra isn't bashed I'm A-OK with Charles having feelings for Shade while he was married, it's pretty unavoidable!

Extra Prompts

- Any of those things we know must have happened but we don't get to see: the first time Shade calls him "Charles" and how he found out his real name; McNider finding out about the Shade's tragic backstory and what the Men of Tears did to him; McNider finding out the Shades real name; the Shade finding out that Eclipso killed Rebecca; the Shade finding out about McNider's eyes and his tragic backstory.

- Focus on how McNider sees and doesn't see, and his feelings about his blindness

- Focus on the Shade's powers: creative uses of them, him not being quite human anymore, etc. I like things like him being cold to the touch, having extra senses, being able to talk through the shadows, etc.

- Dr. Mid-Nite and the Shade having to rescue each other or depend on each other back in the bad old JSA/ISA days. I love seeing how they became friends/more and what exactly it was that the Shade did that convinced McNider that he was different from his running buddies.

- Anything dealing with Simon Culp and that possession storyline - the show never got to adapt it and I could read hundreds of versions without getting bored.

- Anything with the Men of Tears - them showing up again and trying to get the ritual right this time, them striking back in the JSA days and McNider realizing the Shade is in real trouble, just them causing a huge mess.

- Sylvester being brought back for real and not dealing well AT ALL with the new standard quo.

- Alan coming back to life and losing it at his kids being with Shade, Todd's powers, Charles defending him, all of it.

- Anything post S3 with McNider meeting the kids. the Shade getting in trouble and Todd/Jennie calling McNider in a panic, etc. Love it, can never get enough of it.

- Shade secretly still being burned up from the Shadowlands but McNider takes one look at him and knows.

- Anything at all with the night with the absinthe.

Black Adam
Black Adam

Requested Characters: Kent Nelson & Carter Hall

They packed so much history into the fifteen minutes of airtime these two got and I will be on my deathbed mourning that we will never get the movie trilogy they deserve. I love how they're both perfectly willing to sarifice themselves but the other is just simply not allowed to die. I love how the first mention of Kent is Carter saying he can't do this without him and Kent's first scene has him getting (giving himself, really!) a vision of Carter's horrible death. I love how their first time alone in a room together after who knows how many years has them take five seconds to fall back into rhythm. They're great.

It's not actually in the movie, but I love Carter having reincarnation trauma.

Extra Prompts

- Kent being brought back to life, obviously. Angst with a happy ending is my favorite thing

- Anything focusing on what a horrorshow wearing that helmet is for Kent, and Carter slowly finding out over time how hard the magic is on him.

- Wing Kink: Carter's wings, magic wings, wings wings wings

- Their early days in the Justice Society and how they became such close friends.

- I love any and all mission fic, especially mission gone wrong fic.

- Why Kent left, and what happened in that time period. Epistolary fic, maybe?

- Kent pining because he things Carter couldn't be attracted to him because of his age, and Carter being all "Seriously Kent, have you looked at yourself?" about it once he finds out.

- Similarly, Kent pining because he thinks Carter is destined for someone else.

- I really love mythological flavored stuff for them, Egyptian and otherwise - trips through the underworld, magical tests, that kind of thing.

- Kent in a lot of pain or wiped from a spell, or having to undergo a painful ritual, and Carter not being able to help but not leaving him anyway.

Left 4 Dead 2Left 4 Dead 2

Requested Characters: Nick, Ellis

I love these two so much, their banters are so great. Are they possibly the archtypal example of "the grumpy one is soft for the sunshine one?" Yes. Is that sometimes exactly what you want in a gory zombie canon? Also yes. I love fic where Nick starts off seeing the other three as disposible meat shields because his life has taught him not to trust people, and him slowly thawing as time goes on (much to his horror.) I love Ellis' stories and how he is incapable of knowing the right time to tell them. I love desperate escapes into safe rooms and desperate hugs "Oh fuck, I thought you were dead!" fic. It's great, they're great.

I have gore listed as a like but just in case it was missed, this is the canon to go nuts with it, both with the zombies and with Nick and Ellis. Feel free to include all the lovingly described shotgun blasts and zombie decapitations and oozing clawmarks, and remember that there is apparently no injury in this game that cannot be healed with by a defribrilator shock and the proper application of medkit gauze. Severed artery? Wrap it in gauze. Crushed by a Tank? Shock him with the paddles, he'll be fine. This game operates on the same level of medical reality as Re-Animator and Evil Dead and that's the best part about it.

Please whump Nick, if you're going to whump one of them.

Extra Prompts:

- The plot of the game involves the four survivors trying to get to safety at an army base, and there used to be a popular headcanon that not only would the army base not be safe, but they would wind up experimenting on the survivors to try to find out the secret to the zombie immunity. I LOVED that and would deeply love Nick managing to get to a base (possibly by leaving the rest of the group behind!) and the other three finding out he's in deep trouble, or Nick and Ellis having to escape a base together.

- Nick getting ripped up by a Hunter or a Witch and and an out of medkits Ellis desperately trying to keep him from bleeding out/keeping him conscious while waiting for supplies, even if (especially if!) he's in danger from doing so.

- Nick getting hurt/separated from the group and being shocked when Ellis comes looking for him.

- Nick and Ellis alone in a safe room and adrenaline getting the better of them.

- The group running into other survivors who aren't nearly as friendly. I love Ellis killing a still living human to save Nick, and doing it without blinking.

- Any kind of evil experimentation to find out the source of the immunity, military or otherwise. Nick volunteering to save Ellis/the rest of the group would be great, especially if it's impulsive and even he doesn't realize why he does it.

- Nick hampered by an injury but Ellis refusing to leave him behind.

- Ellis telling Nick stories to keep him awake/make him laugh while they're waiting for Rochelle and Coach to get back with supplies.

- Nick going missing and Ellis losing it on the people who took him/hurt him, be they zombies or human.

Warriors of VirtueWarriors of Virtue

Requested Characters: Komodo, General Grillo

Warriors of Virtue is a '90s portal fantasy about a boy who falls into a magical world after taking a dare and befrieds a squad of matial artist kangaoos and discovers that a mad wizard is destablizing the world by manipulating leylines. It has beautiful set design and costuming and is the kind of movie where an unamed mook tries to kill the plucky protagonist by throwing a halbard at him. I love this movie with my whole entire heart, and when I say this I mean that I love the two villains requested above with my whole entire heart. These two are the distilled essence of loyalty kink; Grillo loves his beautiful young out of his mind leader so much, with whatever defination of love you want to use there, and there's an incredible scene where Komodo has a just lucid moment enough to know that Grillo is the one in his snakepit of a court he can actually trust. Grillo is so crushed when Komodo (briefly) dies at the end, and then he comes back to life and they're both so happy!

I love this terrible movie so much.

Extra Prompts

- Grillo watching Komodo's slow descent into madness as he goes further into manipulating the leylines, knowing things will only get worse but also knowing no one else can be trusted to protect him.

- Post-movie fic, where Komodo has his mind back and has to face all the things he did, and not being able to understand how Grillo stood by him.

- Komodo ordering Grillo to do something terrible and Grillo doing it, no questions asked.

- Someone trying to assasinate Komodo - poisoning him, stabbing him with a poisoned blade, something slow but will be fatal - and Grillo burning down the world to save him.

- At one point Grillo is confronted by one of the heroes that he used to be "one of us" and how can he do Komodo's bidding now - what what THAT about? How did that happen? I love origin stories.

- Equally evil enemies taking advantage of Komodo's instabilty and capturing him and/or Grillo to find the secrets to his power, and Grillo protecting him/getting tortured for him/hiding him/etc, especially if it eventually breaks through the fog enough for Komodo to realize what Grillo is doing.

Thank you! I hope you have a great Yuletide!

Hello and thank you for offering (and traumatizing!) one of my favorite ships!

General likes: UST finally spilling over, first time/get together fics, unspoken feelings that stay unspoken but are blindingly obvious anyway, bedside vigils/general watching over someone, fraught handholding (especially combined with the bedside vigiling) angst and uncertainty leading into happy endings, sneaking around, sex pollen especially when it’s one-sided, bloodplay, knifeplay, clothes sharing, dramatic rescues/sacrifices, pining, rope bondage, breathplay, road trips, significant gestures, missing scenes/episode tags, time travel, Groundhog Day loops, True Love Saves the Day, 5 Things fics, crossroad deals/deals with the devil, any and all kinds of supernatural nonsense, unexpected acts of kindness, someone physically putting themselves between a loved one and harm, creative use of superpowers, dreamsharing

DNWs: noncon, A/B/O, D/s with lots of formal negotiation, face-sitting, bathroom related bodily fluids, violence directed at genitals, pregnancy, bashing of canon love interests, daddy kink, permanent character death of named characters not dead in canon, spanking, setting change/no power AUs, non-canon permanent injuries (temporary/magically healed/etc ones are fine)

I am not squeamish at all about explicit violence and gore (aside from the specific DNWs.) Eye trauma, hand trauma, all of it's fine gore is great go for it.

Any rating is welcome, from G to explicit sex. I love treats, both fic and art.

I consider the freeforms prompts in and of themselves! (Especially art freeform! I love art but never know how to prompt for it, so it’s fantastic to be able to point to a freeform and go yes, that!) Also the line between A being traumatized and Both Traumatized gets a little blurry for a lot of them (the situations would be pretty traumatizing all around, really!) so please don’t worry that both are being traumatized in an A traumatized category, there cannot be too much trauma. Please whump freely! I am especially fond of Character A being emotionally traumatized by seeing Character B going through physical trauma so please put everyone through it.

Stargirl

I am EXTREMELY okay with pre-slash/pre-relationship JSA-era set fics – I love seeing the two of them from enemies to so much more and how those lines first started getting crossed. I would love anything with the two of them finding out each other’s traumatic backstories – McNider specifically seems to know a whole lot of detail about what the Men of Tears did to the Shade! One of my favorite things about Shadenite is all the things that are hinted but not outright said – why McNider believes so much that Shade isn’t like the rest of the ISA, how the Shade got on a first name basis with him, what happened the night with the absinthe, etc.

I also really like fic touching on how McNider sees (or doesn’t,) because even with the glasses and goggles he can’t see the way he used to or how other people do, and if they’re taken from him during the day he is genuinely blind. I do like the idea of him being able to see the Shade without the goggles since he can see in the dark and the Shade is made of shadows, even if he sees him differently than he would in the dark/with the goggles, but that is an extremely optional headcanon that even I go back and forth on myself, the angst of him not even being able to see the Shade in daylight is too good to pass up sometimes. I also really enjoy fic that touches on the Shade’s inhumanness – him being cold to the touch, bleeding shadows instead of blood, being about to take physical damage that would kill a baseline human instantly, being MORE vulnerable to things that wouldn’t bother a baseline human (bright light for instance, or how the green fire in the Shadowlands wasn’t hurting Pat but was killing him.) Please don’t knock him back to human even magically.

I know it’s not strictly canon, but I do really like McNider having visible eye scarring when he’s not using the glasses or goggles – we never see his eyes open without them so there’s nothing that says he doesn’t? That moment when the Shade would first really see his eyes is too good to pass up. And speaking of very questionable headcanons – the shadow energy probably didn’t sear the markings the Men of Tears drew all over the Shade permanently into his skin when it froze his aging, but it certainly COULD have. And McNider would be so upset about seeing that evidence of that they did to the Shade literally all over him! :D

Please no no-power/setting change AUs EXCEPT Victorian AUs – the two of them being alive at the same time, with Mr. Swift being very overfamiliar with the upstanding Dr. McNider and no one understanding why he puts up with that from a conman and a thief like Richard Swift, fic set later in the Victorian era with McNider trying to keep his East End clinic going when he hears stories about a man made of shadows, full on Gotham by Gaslight style AU, etc, as long as the Shade still becomes the Shade and McNider still loses his sight (with or without gaining his canon darkvision) it’s all good.

Extra Prompts
Extra Prompts

- The two of them getting captured together in the JSA days and having to keep each other going/help each other escape (with all assorted eligible tropes – one volunteering to be hurt/tortured to protect the other, even though they’re in theory enemies at the point; passing up chances to escape because the other can’t; McNider promising the Shade that either they both get out or neither of them do and the Shade thinks it’s just superhero bluster but no, he most definitely means it; McNider keeping their captors from finding out that the Shade is more than human, or the Shade hiding that McNider can’t see, etc., etc.)
- Anything with the Men of Tears – them grabbing the Shade again, a new branch of the cult cropping up, Jennie and/or Todd finding out how the Shade got his powers and McNider having to manage that emotional disaster, the symbols they painted on the Shade showing back up or suddenly causing him pain, him seeing the cloaked figures in those masks from the corner of his eye, Sandy Hawkins seeing them in a dream and not knowing what it means, but the Shade and/or McNider sure do. Bring all the trauma and dread of these people. Maybe McNider ran into some of them in the Shadowlands and they taunted him about what they’d done! Or some new generation believers find out about Todd and decide that they had the right idea, but the wrong target.
- Related to the Men of Tears (because he was definitely one of them,) any version with the Simon Culp possession story – him taunting McNider with the Shade’s voice but the wrong accent about how it’s too late to do anything, or asking why McNider is trying so hard to save such a piece of trash, nothing but a con artist and thief. Culp using the Shade’s powers to hurt McNider or the twins, or making the Shade the villain the JSA had always believed him to be, or the Shade breaking through the possession to beg McNider to kill him to end it. Setting it JSA era would also be fun, when no one would have reason to believe this isn’t really the Shade’s true colors, except McNider just knows something is very wrong.
- Anything with McNider not knowing how to treat the Shade because he’s not human anymore.
- Sylvester or Alan or the Spectre, etc., back from the dead and launching themselves at the Shade because they don’t believe this reformed act of his for a second. I also really enjoy people being aghast and disbelieving about Shadenite and convincing themselves the Shade must have done some mind control or some kind of coercion, because the family man they remember would never (when the truth is they just didn’t know Charles McNider as well as they thought they did.
- McNider getting a little obsessed with the realization that the Shade can look him in the eyes, because with everyone else either he can see them or they can see him because he can only see unaided in the dark.
- The Maroni crime family realizing that McNider is back after falling the face of the earth for ten years and snatching him off the street.
- McNider getting grabbed by the Ultra-Humanite or someone else in the ISA era, pick a golden age villain and the Shade stumbling over him or hearing him screaming from the shadows.
- Icicle or someone else in the ISA really fucking McNider up and the Shade trying to keep him alive until the JSA get there.
- Alan or Sylvester or one of the other JSA heavy hitters going too far in a fight and Mid-Nite having to physically stop them from killing the Shade, or him realizing the Shade is really hurt and tracking him down after the fight or trying to help.
- The Shade losing his cohesion and showing up trapped in the shadows at McNider’s house.
- The Shade hiding a bad injury but McNider knows the second he looks at him – the burns from the Shadowlands not healing or getting worse for instance.
- The Shade being in so much pain he thinks the Men of Tears have him again.
- Any and all variation of the night with the absinthe.
- Canon divergent AU where McNider gets Eclipsed and aimed right at the Shade, either ten years ago or current day.
- The Shade going missing or having a very scary near miss and McNider cracking up a little bit because he has lost too many people and does not have any more of that in him (especially if his reaction surprises/freaks out Pat or back from the dead Sylvester or whoever is there.)
- The two of them being trapped in the Shadowlands together and having to deal with everything finally.
- The Shade being experimented on and McNider Not Having It, or someone being very curious about how McNider’s eyes work and the Shade likewise Not Having It.
- Art extra prompts: the Shade being sacrificed by the Med of Tears, McNider and his ruined eyes, McNider seeing the sigils they painted on the Shade, McNider in enemy hands with the Shade watching from the shadows, guilty Shade seeing blood on his hands after Rebecca’s murder, either of them lying hurt in each other’s lap, either one defending the other from an unseen enemy.

Black Adam/DCEU

I am actually still a little angry at how much this movie made me care about Hawkman and Dr. Fate, after literal decades of not being able to bother with any of them. I am certainly making up for it now! I can’t get over how must history Pierce Brosnan and Aldis Hodges managed to pack into their few minutes of screen time. Like with Shadenite I am very good with pre-relationship/pre-slash in stories that are set before the movie/when they were both on the Justice Society as long as if comes along with epic levels of pining, because the two men we see in this movie are people who have loved each other for a very long time, whether they’ve been able to admit to each other or not. I really enjoy Kent being very aware of his age and enemies taunting him about how could he expect Carter to ever look at him twice (meanwhile Carter is just as gone on him.) I’m also very into reincarnation trauma for Carter, which is extra-canonical but there’s only fifteen minutes of canon here, we do what we have to. :D Also any and all resurrection trauma is very welcome! I’d like things to end well for them but feel free to go dark and messy on the way there.

Extra Prompts
Extra Prompts:

- In the comics Kent canonically gets possessed more often than you would think! Let’s have some of that please – Mordru bodysnatching him, or Nabu fully taking him over and Carter having to try to pull him back. Whoever it is taking Kent over by inches while Carter can only watch helplessly would be great, as would be Kent watching trapped inside his own head as his body is piloted around or begging Carter to kill him so he won’t hurt anyone.
- Kent’s ghost haunting Carter, or Carter having nightmares/visions of Kent in agony in the afterlife because of the way he died.
- Carter having reincarnation trauma – not able to sort through all the memories, seeing old versions of himself like they’re real, feeling himself die over and over, etc.
- Carter obsessing over Kent dying in agony and there being no body.
- Kent suffering from his magic – coughing up blood, passing out, bleeding from his nose/eyes/ears after a spell, needing to do a spell or a ritual that is incredibly painful and he asks Carter to be there to hold him down/ritually stab him/whatever horrible thing the spell requires.
- Mordru or some other magical villain taking Kent over and taunting Carter about how Kent loves him.
- A bad guy grabbing Kent without the helmet/magical accoutrements in the believe that no one will come just for Kent Nelson.
- Carter almost dying and Kent keeping him alive with magic, even though it’s slowly killing Kent instead.
- Kent coming back from the dead with no memory of Carter.
- Carter going to increasingly unhinged lengths to bring Kent back.
- Kent being horribly injured but magically kept alive and Carter not being about to help him but also not leaving him.
- Carter finding out about some terrible thing that happened to Kent before they met, especially if the villain who did it is back.
- Justice Society missions going very, very bad.
- Art Extra Prompts: Carter protecting Kent with his wings, Carter carrying him, Carter standing over Kent with the mace out daring unseen enemies to try something, Kent or Carter looking in a mirror and seeing someone else staring back, Kent and Carter being separated by magic, ghost Kent watching Carter, Kent bloody and hurt reaching for Carter.

Daredevil

Season 1 of Daredevil is weirdly one of my comfort shows, purely because the villains are so perfect – I love me a ridiculously loyal henchman and James Wesley is an absolute top tier one. I am fine with no other canon Daredevil characters appearing, go all in on the villainy. I would love anything, from Wesley and Fisk building their empire in those lean early years to post-canon entirely. I am perfectly fine with S3 canon being included or canon diverging entirely. I am also very good with pre-slash/pre-relationship fic as far as Wesley/Fisk goes, I love the pining, but I would also love them having done something in the past and Fisk pulled back, or him feeling guilty because he knows Wesley loves him even though Wesley doesn’t expect anything besides what he has, and getting Wesley back makes Fisk reevaluate things. I also really love Vanessa – I would love fic where they become friends. They both love Fisk so much and are so completely all in on crime!

DNW EXCEPTION: Wesley getting sexually menaced or nonconned offscreen by goons or as backstory is A-OK.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Yondu is my favorite character in Guardians and him and Rocket bonding had my whole heart. We need more of it! Yondu’s backstory of being enslaved by the Kree is so interesting and underexplored, and the two things I’m most interested in is Rocket (or Rocket and Peter) finding out that not only is Yondu not dead, but that he’s been resurrected expressly to be sent back into bondage, or Rocket (or Rocket and Peter) time traveling back to when Yondu was young and still enslaved. That won’t touch on any of Rocket’s issues at all! A lot of the freeforms I picked were with an eye toward those scenarios, but missing scene/canon divergent fic with canon era Yondu is great too! I just really love him and Rocket and their backstories dovetail so well together.

I do very sincerely ship Rocket/Yondu! Explict fic for them is very welcome, if you want to write it then I want to read it. (I also do ship Rocket/Peter, but I would want one or the other, not both. Peter being flustered and insecure at Young Hot Yondu in a time travel situation would be welcome, though, or even Yondu flirting a bit since he of course wouldn’t know who Peter is.)

I have nothing against Kraglin but I also don’t find him very interesting, so I’d prefer he’d be left out.

DNW EXCEPTION: Yondu being sexually menaced or nonconned by Kree captors is great, even on page.

Arrow

I did a nostalgic rewatch of early Arrow a few months ago and while yes, I still ship Slade/Oliver as much as I ever did I’d almost forgotten that I’d loved Diggshot even a little bit more. They are the IDEAL enemies to friends (to lovers), real, actual enemies who grow to care so much about each other. The journey Diggle takes as he shifts from seeing Floyd as just the man who (they both think!) killed his brother to someone whose life he saves multiple times is just so good. I love how much Floyd admires Diggle’s honor and wishes he could be the same kind of man, while Diggle is so uncomfortable with Floyd’s passive death wish and refuses to let him indulge it if at all possible. They’re so great and I want to request them in everything.

My knowledge of the last two seasons or so of Arrow is a little fuzzy so feel very free to canon diverge any of that. Please no Barry Allen.

I do enjoy Diggle feeling a little guilty cheating on his wife with Floyd, but ignoring her is also perfectly fine (it’s not as if she doesn’t have plenty of secrets of her own.)

DNW EXCEPTION: Floyd being sexually menaced/nonconned off screen by bad guys/to maintain his cover is A-OK.

Thank you!❤

Hello FFFXer!! That you for offering one of my favorite ships. I’m requesting a mix of current loves and old favorites, and please do not read anything into order or number of prompts or anything like that – I will be delighted with any ship here, I just have more ideas for some than others. Any rating is welcome. I am not squeamish about gore, go for it.

I’ve also tried to include availability when I could; most are available via streaming in the US, but I don’t know about outside the US availability.

Also, some of these ships I have requested before and my tastes are very consistent – if there was a prompt on a different letter that isn’t on this one, it is either because I am a dummy and forgot or because I ran out of space, feel free to use any past prompts if there was one that particularly struck your eye, that would be amazing.

DNWs: noncon (with some minor exceptions in Arrow and Daredevil), A/B/O, D/s with lots of formal negotiation, face-sitting, bathroom related bodily fluids, violence directed at genitals, pregnancy, bashing of canon love interests, daddy kink, permanent character death of named characters not dead in canon, spanking, setting change/no power AUs (except for Victorian AUs for Stargirl)

Treats of all kinds are very welcome and appreciated!

Charles McNider/Richard Swift

Charles McNider & Richard Swift

Charles McNider & Richard Swift & Jennifer-Lynn Hayden & Todd Rice

Stargirl is about Courtney Whitmore, a teenage girl from LA who moves to idyllic small town Nebraska when her mom and discovers that her new stepdad used to be sidekick to the superhero Starman, who was a member of the Justice Society of America until they were all killed by their villainous counterparts the ISA ten years before. She inherits/kind of steals Starman’s cosmic staff to become a superhero in her own right, and she and her friends become the new JSA. It is my favorite superhero show possibly ever?

But we’re not here to talk about Courtney. Charles McNider was in the original JSA as Dr. Mid-Nite; he is an actual medical doctor and a low-key tech genius, but a mob hit on his clinic (targeting a patient he was operating on) left him blind except for in complete darkness. He developed glasses and goggles to help him compensate in daylight and apparently for funsies programed full AI into the goggles that was is a major character in S1. He is the kind of person who builds defibrillators into the gloves of his superhero costume just in case something goes wrong in the field.

Richard Swift is much more commonly called the Shade; he is over 200 years old, is apparently functionally immortal, has control over shadows and draws power from a hellish nightmare realm called the Shadowlands, and was a member of the ISA. He shows up at the start of S2 looking for an artifact called the black diamond, something connected to a very dangerous villain named Eclipso and generally making himself look very untrustworthy, especially since one of the first things we ever see him do is drag Dr. Mid-Nite away into the abyss during the fatal JSA vs ISA fight.

And then we find out that’s not...exactly how it happened. 😊

I love Shadenite so much, you truly cannot go wrong. Early days when they were still ostensibly enemies back in the JSA days, what happened that night with the absinthe (we’ll get to it,) post-canon, everything is good. I also love Jennie and Todd, so feel free to include them if the story is set post-S3. The little bits and pieces we get are so good, and I would love anything that fills in those pieces, both how they got there and what they do now. I’m fine with Myra being mostly ignored, but I do like having some guilt if things are happening while he’s married, or him desperately trying to compartmentalize his life (especially if he’s doing the secret identity thing, meaning there are huge swathes of his life he can’t share with her.) I like his life being messier than he ever let the rest of the JSA know (even currently! Completely headcanon that he was outright lying to Pat about things going great in S3, either because he didn’t want anyone to feel sorry for him or just because he’s so used to keeping up appearances.)

McNider and Shade are only physically in the same room for...maybe five minutes? But here are my favorite scenes with them talking about each other:

The Shade meeting Courtney and the drama of the man all through it. Also features the Shade getting very offended by Courtney’s accusation that he’s working with Eclipso (“Don't you know there's a difference between bad and evil?” is one of the great banger lines) as he tells Courtney how Eclipso murdered McNider’s young daughter. I especially enjoy how he doesn’t actually have an answer for Courtney when she asks why he’s getting so wound up about all this.

Kill me? No, Beth, he saved me.” McNider is so surprised that anyone could think that the Shade might have killed him! Somehow! Also features McNider dropping Shade’s entire tragic backstory, which seems to know extremely well!

I love the little half-laugh McNider does at the “Because he’s...complicated” line, there’s so much in there. This is when we find out that the Shade showed up drunk and guilty over Rebecca McNider’s murder in the middle of the night, and what a gift to us all that is. And yes, this means Charles McNider tells two different people at two different times that he believes the Shade was different from the rest of the ISA – and he was right.

Jennie shows up in S2, looking for Todd, who finally appears in S3, they are the twin children of OG Green Lantern Alan Scott. Complications from the Eclipso fight in S2 mean that the Shade's powers are getting mixed up with her Green Lantern ones, which is how the Shade gets involved in their business very much against his will. The Shade is the one person Jennie lets herself be cranky at because he is THAT annoying and it is a joy. (This is a character lectured at one point that she doesn't have to be so nice to everyone!) Todd, meanwhile, has shadow powers similar to the Shade's (presumably as a counterpoint to his sister's light based powers.) The Shade agrees to train Todd to use his powers and when the show ends the twins are still with him, which delights me. I would love anything with the three of them + Charles getting into trouble.

I am very up for pre-relationship/pre-slash JSA era fic BTW! As long as there are clear Feelings, even if the two of them aren’t sure about or aren’t ready to speak to what those feelings are yet.

    Fandom Specific Likes:
    • The Shade being obviously not human, especially when hurt: colder to the touch than he should be, not breathing when he’s not making a point of it, bleeding shadows instead of blood, etc

    • McNider’s being a doctor affecting how he thinks and his priorities

    • Anything with how McNider sees, both the advantages and the limitations. I also like him having visible scarring when he’s not wearing his glasses or goggles which isn’t…strictly canon, I guess? But while we see he eyes through the goggles we never see his eyes open without them, so it’s possible

    • The Shade having been a thief and a con artist in his mortal life coming in handy

    • McNider getting very hot and bothered by seeing the Shade in less than full get up – missing the just suitcoat but still in the waistcoat and shirtsleeves for example, or in his shirtsleeves but still with the hat, or having to keep himself from staring at the Shade’s hands because he’s so used to seeing him in gloves.

    • Shade loving to show off with his powers during sex and McNider loving watching him show off, but the Shade also being a little touch starved and almost coming out of his skin when McNider touches him

Victorian Era AU - the two of them being alive at the same time, with Mr.

Prompts

- So why is McNider so convinced that the Shade is different from the rest of the ISA? When did that happen? What did the Shade do that was so convincing that even after all the time trapped in the Shadowlands he was so sure that the Shade had been trying to save him?

- The first time Shade called him “Charles,” and why he keeps letting Shade do it.

- Anything with the Men of Tears – them finding the Shade again, either in the JSA era or current day, McNider finding out about the Shade’s tragic backstory, the Shade being in so much pain or out of it that he thinks they have him again, etc. Bring on the angst, especially in canon time with the Jennie and Todd first finding out about all this.

- Speaking of old enemies, the Maroni crime family getting very interested in why McNider is suddenly back after falling off the face of the earth for ten years

- The Shade and Dr. Mid-Nite having to team up against a mutual enemy back in the JSA days (I am especially weak for the two of them being captured and having to escape together, or being imprisoned together and having to keep each other going.)

- The first time the Shade found out about McNider’s eyes and how they got that way (it’s not strictly canon, but I do like there being visible scarring without the goggles)

- Simon Culp possessing the Shade, either as part of the Men of Tears (because he was definitely one of them) or just him being his charming self.

- JSA era Shade getting badly hurt (the staff, Alan’s green fire, the Spectre, a third party villain, etc) and McNider protecting him from further harm/trying to treat him even though this was definitely not covered in medical school/just staying and sitting with him, and the Shade not really understanding why he would do that.

- The opposite, McNider getting hurt/almost dying and the Shade intervening.

- Everything McNider left out about the night the Shade showed up with the absinthe (or if he didn’t leave anything out, what happened when Shade showed up the next night.)

- The Shade having to go to the Shadowlands for something (maybe the green fire is still a problem, or there’s something else brewing there) but once he’s there the Shadowlands won’t let him leave.

- Alan comes back from the dead, or Sylvester comes back for real, or the Spectre shows up dangerous and unstable without a host; whoever it is, they are VERY confused by the Shade’s apparent change of heart and don’t buy it for a second – and they’re very thrown by McNider not only being alive too, but by he and the Shade being...close

- Someone back in the JSA days finds out about the Shade showing up at McNider’s house, or sees them together, and jumps to the conclusion that the Shade is up to no good and take matters into their own hands.

- Shadow power enhanced sex, or McNider knowing that the Shade is watching him from the Shadows and getting off on in, or both of them getting off on McNider undressing him, or it having been so long since someone touched the Shade like a person instead of a shadow monster that he almost comes out of his skin when McNider touches him.

All three seasons of Stargirl are streaming on Max, and the first two seasons are out on bluray.

DCEU/Black Adam
DCEU/Black Adam

Carter Hall/Kent Nelson

Kent Nelson is Dr. Fate, one of the world foremost experts on magic and, among other things, the current host of the helmet of Nabu, an artifact possessed by an alien intelligence that half possesses Kent when he uses it, give him visions of the future and is generally made of nightmares. I also extends his lifespan – he’s old enough that he remembers seeing RAF planes going off to war at the start of WW1. Carter Hall is Hawkman – he also has some alien technology, but at least his doesn’t possess him. Instead his wings, armor and mace are made a Thangardian Nth metal, and in addition to enabling him to fly it ups his strength enough for him to pick cars up over his head. Together they fight crime. They’re on the Justice Society together, which is at least to some extent run by Amanda Waller which is…a little strange, since they’re both very opposed to killing, but it seems to be working out?

When we meet them Carter has just pulled Kent out of retirement to deal with Black Adam (“I can’t do this without him”); meanwhile, unbeknownst to Carter, Kent has had a vision of Carter’s apparently extremely imminent death – and he is VERY motivated to keep that vision from coming true.

Black Adam is...not the best movie? It’s fine. It has some fun side characters! Its could probably lose about twenty minutes, and it’s an objectively bad adaptation of Teth Adam as a character – but Dr. Fate and Hawkman are so good in this movie. Aldis Hodge and Pierce Brosnan manage to pack so much history into their maybe fifteen minutes of screentime, you really believe they have known and loved each other forever.

It was actually annoyingly difficult to find good scenes? My kingdom for a Hawkfate supercut. There’s a great scene near the beginning where Kent and Carter are alone in a room for the first time in clearly a while, and they immediately start giving each other shit, Kent complaining about Carter always ignoring his advice and Carter saying how much he’d missed Kent saying cryptic shit to him. They’re so fond of each other and it’s wonderful.

I love how half the time in this clip Kent has his eyes on Carter instead of the big bad they’re trying to bring in.

    • So much pining – Kent because he’s so much older and/or he thinks it’s a nonstarter because Carter has a destined soulmate, and Carter thinking that if Kent was interested at all he would have picked up what he’d been putting down at some point.

    • Kent running himself ragged using magic and Carter not able to stop him because it needs to be done but hating every second of it. Passing out, coughing up blood, not sleeping for days, bring it all on. Whump that man

    • Wingfic, either magically grown wings or with Carter’s Nth metal ones. Kent growing wings would be fun

Prompts

- Fix-it for Kent being dead, because obviously now

- Early days in the Justice Society, their first missions together, all of that. I’d love to see how it all started

- Bad guys roughing Kent up in demeaning ways – backhanding him, dragging him by his hair, etc – and Carter losing his mind about it

- Carter being injured or near death and Kent using magic to save him, but the spell is slowly killing Kent instead (especially if Carter doesn’t realize what he’s doing at first)

- Kent being held by bad guys far away and reaching out to Carter through his dreams/with magic/etc

- Kent letting himself get captured/tortured/wounded because he’s already seen that Carter will save him/find him in the end

- Kent willingly submitting to a spell or locking himself in a magic device that will save the day but is painful enough to be torture, and Carter can’t help him but won’t leave him either

- A few years after the movie, when the worst of the grief has passed, a new Dr. Fate shows up, but when Carter goes to investigate who this is he find out that it’s not the helmet picking someone new – it’s Kent alive again, but no memory of anything before waking up wearing the helmet, and that includes Carter (because Nabu brought back his body but not his soul? The magic that brought him back was traumatic enough to wipe his mind? Nabu intentionally wiped his memories, thinking it would make him a better/more effective/more pliable host? Go nuts

- Something magic happens and everyone except Carter forgets that Dr. Fate ever existed
- SOUL. BONDS.

- My kingdom for fic where Cater uses his superstrength to hold Kent up against the wall one-handed. Sexy superstrength, PLEASE. Also, Kent using sexy sex magic

- Relatedly, Kent needing to do a sex magic ritual and this is how they find out they have not actually been hopelessly pining after all

- Nabu pulls one of his "KENT NELSON IS GONE, THERE IS ONLY THE IMMORTAL LORD OF ORDER" stunts, subsuming Kent's mind, and Carter is very Absolutely Not about it all

Arrow

John Diggle/Floyd Lawton

Love is a bullet to the brain.

We meet John Diggle when he is hired as a half-bodyguard/half babysitter for a just back from Lian Yu Oliver Queen, and he and Oliver quickly become friends and Diggle a valued part of Oliver’s mission to save Starling City. He’s the straightest of straight arrows, served with distinction in the military, is the one who’s there to tell Ollie when he’s doing something even dumber than usual. Meanwhile, Floyd Lawton is a vet too, but that’s where the similarities seem to end – Floyd is an assassin for hire who tattoos the names of his kills on his body, and very shortly after he’s introduced we discover that one of those names is John’s brother Andy. (Although we find out much later that Andy actually faked his own death to join the black ops group HIVE. John does not take it well!) There’s no reason why John Diggle should have any warm feelings about Deadshot.

So it is fantastic that he does! Their friendship is such a great slow burn over three seasons – even John is a little confused about why he cares about whether Floyd Lawton lives or dies, and for his part even though he mocks John’s moral core he admires it, too. John Diggle is the man Floyd wishes he could have been – a good man, a good soldier, a good husband, a good father – but knows he won’t ever be. Floyd is passively suicidal the entire time we know him and it bothers John so much, and Floyd is always kind of bemused about why John cares. There’s also a great throughline with their shared military service – Floyd was turned into a weapon, chewed up and then spit out by the military, and then he goes on to be used as a weapon by a long line of people – HIVE, Argus, Amanda Waller and the Suicide Squad, etc., and John knows he could have been Floyd if things had shaken out differently. They’re so great and I will always hold a grudge against the first Suicide Squad movie because it meant Deadshot had to be written out of Arrow.

Clips:

John has Floyd at gunpoint but can’t pull the trigger. “That’s the thing about honor, John. You can’t turn it on and off.”

John breaking orders (he’s working with Argus) to go rescue Floyd:

Some canon hurt/comfort! (the redhead is Cupid, another archer who is not well and thinks she’s in love with Floyd. It was not great.)

I’m fine with Layla being ignored, but I would also be into John feeling guilty about not being able to keep himself away from Floyd (Layla has enough shady secrets of her own! She may even encourage it, thinking that John is leading Floyd on to keep him in line because that’s what someone trained by Amanda Waller would think.)

    Fandom Specific Likes:

    • Floyd being an absurdly good shot

    • Floyd liking being held at gunpoint during sex or otherwise not caring about things being safe or sane

    • John caring if Floyd is hurt or in trouble way more than Floyd himself does

    • Anything with Floyd losing the eye – whether it still bothers him, his high-tech scope, him adjusting for it when shooting without the scope, etc

    • Mission fic

    • Floyd’s tattoos – John touching them, him being both repelled and attracted to them, him being turned on by them and feeling a little sick about it, etc.

Prompts

- John finding out that Floyd didn’t actually die in the explosion but has been buried deep in black ops, with the Suicide Squad or people even worse than the Squad, and making up his mind to find him

- Floyd contacting John when he’s in a very bad situation that’s killing him slowly – bleeding out, caught in a building collapse, trapped somewhere and running out of air – but either not able or not willing to tell John where he is, and John having to figure out how to get to him

- Floyd liking a little pain during sex and risky kinks in general, and John being conflicted on how much he likes indulging him

- The opposite, John absolutely refusing to be anything but gentle with Floyd during sex and Floyd getting so frustrated about that it’s basically edging and works anyway

- These two are made for undercover missions, please have Waller and Argus send the into every gay bar and mafia den and bratva hideout possible

- Floyd having to let himself be hurt or menaced to maintain his cover and John getting very twitchy about it while Floyd is mystified about what the big deal is, that stuff just happens. (Sexual and non sexual menacing is fine! Bad guys can also have a little noncon as a treat.)

- John canonically hallucinates Floyd after he kills Andy – more of that. Maybe John gets fixated on the idea that if Andy was alive, maybe Floyd is too, and he’s right

- Some kind of magic/speed force/whatever nonsense happens and John gets a glimpse of Floyd being alive and trouble, and everyone tries to talk him down but John knows what he saw

- An alive again Floyd tattooing Andy’s name on John after John has to kill him

Floyd shows up intermittently in the first three seasons of Arrow until his death in 3.17. Arrow is streaming on Netflix.

Daredevil TVDaredevil/MCU

Wilson Fisk/James Wesley
Wilson Fisk & James Wesley
Wilson Fisk & James Wesley & Vanessa Mariana

I love me some loyal right hands, and James Wesley is THE loyal right hand. I love how they talk to each other when they’re alone – Wesley worships the ground Fisk walks on but he’ll still ask questions about what Fisk’s doing and why, and even when Fisk doesn’t tell him everything you get the sense he’s a little sad about it (and especially with the more mystical stuff, that he’s protecting Wesley from having to know about that nonsense.) Fisk leans on Wesley so much, and while he does consider Wesley a friend he also considers Wesley his, and Wesley is completely fine with that. I love it. I love Wesley’s hyper competence, and how badly he needs to be of service to Fisk and how attuned Wesley is to his moods. And of course Fisk absolutely losing his shit when Wesley dies is perfection.

I adore Vanessa and I think she would be 100% on board with that and them being together (Wesley did get there first after all) and frankly would be a little surprised if they hadn’t slept together at least once – like Wilson, you see the way he looks at you, right? Come now. I am very for wild amounts of pining from Wesley during canon periods, but if he comes back from the dead I would like them to on page get together if they hadn’t before then.

I love the way he takes his glasses off to talk to Fisk here, I wonder if he even needs them or if they’re just for the image:

“I just, I don’t...like the way he speaks to you.”

There's another scene where Fisk gets table flipping angry and orders Wesley out of his presence, and Wesley brings Vanessa to Fisk's penthouse because she's who he needs and giving Wilson Fisk what he needs is what Wesley does. It's such a good scene and so complicated, and I wish we had so much more time with the three of them. I looked high and low for it to know avail, it's in 1.08, which is a great episode for them in general.

As a DNW exception, Wesley being sexually menaced/nonconned offscreen by badder guys is great.

    Fandom Specific Likes

    • The two of them being very aware of each other, especially Wesley of Fisk

    • Wesley being very deliberate in constructing his image, from his suit to his watch to his glasses, etc

    • Wesley being on call 24/7 for Fisk and not seeing anything wrong with that

    • How completely ruthless and comfortable with violence Wesley is, as long as he’s not committing it himself

    • The day to day of running a criminal enterprise – Wesley getting the car detailed after Fisk decapitates a man in it, having to manage all of the contractors, landing the properties, etc, love that stuff

    • Fisk knowing Wesley was in love with him and not knowing how to feel about that, until it was too late to feel anything about that

Prompts

- Anything from the early days, when it was just the two of them with very big dreams

- How they met – we know virtually nothing about MCU Wesley aside from him speaking a lot of languages and that he’s not from New York City – how did Wilson Fisk happen to this man’s life?

- Anything with rival organizations hurting Wesley to get to Fisk, or Wesley letting himself be captured so Fisk can get away, and Fisk losing his entire mind over it. It doesn’t happen in canon but it SHOULD have, canon divergence that up

- Rivals or dirty cops torturing Wesley to give up information on Fisk, which obviously he is never going to do

- That first kiss, either in the past or after Wesley comes back to life

- Wesley’s ghost haunting Fisk, or Fisk talking to Wesley out of habit when he’s alone and realizing that maybe he’s not alone, or Vanessa knows Wesley is there but Fisk doesn’t see him because it hurts too much

- Fisk seeing Wesley when he’s near death – maybe Wesley leads him out of the fire at the end of Hawkeye, etc

- Fisk and Wesley being reunited in the afterlife when Fisk gets Snapped (it’s probably pretty hot down there!) but Wesley can’t come with him when Fisk resurrects with everyone else after the five years

- During a multiverse event a different universe’s James Wesley who’s in a lot of trouble manages to contact this universe’s Wilson Fisk, and while Fisk couldn’t save his own Wesley he sure as hell is going to save this one (and maybe keep him, depending on the situation)

- So from the Loki show we know there has got to be at least one Variant Wesley who survived that shooting/didn’t let Karen take his gun/had second thought about that confrontation and got scooped up by the Time Agents, and if that Wesley managed to contact Fisk and tell him that people had him and he didn’t know where he was, Wilson Fisk sure would be upset about that!

- Anything with Welsey and Vanessa bonding - him showing up at her door beat to hell because he knows he can't face Fisk until he pulls himself together/not able to trust anyone else/something REALLY BAD happened to him and he doesn't want Fisk to know, but he knows he shouldn't be alone.

Wesley is in S1 of Daredevil (with mentions in S3.) Daredevil is streaming on Disney+.

Tombstone (1993)Tombstone 1993

Wyatt Earp/Doc Holiday

I have the clip from when Wyatt and Doc reunite in the move and I love how laser focused on they are on each other and how easily they fall in rhythm, the retired lawman and the incorrigible gambler. They’re one of the great friendships in history and Tombstone has my favorite version of them. Throughout the movie you see how much regard they have for each other – the movie is such a love story. They’re one of my oldest OTPs and I would love anything with them.

Reunion

“Wyatt Earp is my friend”

This scene is one the Director’s cut and has Kate trying to talk Doc out of joining Wyatt’s revenge ride.

    Fandom Specific Likes

    • Wyatt watching Doc’s hands as he plays piano or poker

    • Wyatt watching Doc in general really, to catch him if he over exerts himself or mouths off to the wrong people, etc

    • Doc enjoying shocking Wyatt

    • Wyatt defending Doc to Virgil, who disapproves of all of this (not even in a homophobic way, just in a "why this one, Wyatt?")

    • Doc having a death wish and Wyatt desperate trying to save him from it, even if he knows in his head that Doc would rather die in a hail of gunfire than in his sickbed his heart can’t accept it

    • Wyatt losing it at seeing Doc hurt or manhandled and not really thinking too hard about why he has that reaction, and Doc being very amused by all of it

    • Likewise Wyatt not thinking very hard about how he keeps winding up in Doc’s bed (meanwhile Doc doesn’t care what other people think of him, but he does care what they think of Wyatt)

    • Dramatic gunfights and bedside vigils after gunfights

Prompts

- A cocky gunslinger rides into town bragging that he shot the great Doc Holliday the next town over and Wyatt completely losing his shit

- Anything from the beginning – how they met, the first time Doc had a consumptive fit in front of him, the first time they got into a gunfight together, first kiss, all of it. Do not feel beholden to history, the movie itself certainly wasn’t

- Wyatt being hurt and Doc going on a self-destructive warpath over it

- Either one of them trying to keep the other alive after he’s shot

- The two of them holed up in an abandoned homestead with a storm rolling in

- Doc having a high fever and Wyatt sitting bedside trying to get him through the night

- 5 times fic of Doc and Wyatt falling into bed

- Wyatt knowing Doc’s in trouble even though they’re towns apart and riding out on the hunch

- Similarly, Doc being hurt/captured by outlaws and Wyatt carving a swath through the town/county to get to him. I'd especially like Doc being very smug and sure that Wyatt will come for him even as he's bleeding and beat up, and ESPECIALLY especially if that really seems pretty unlikely, objectively

Tombstone is streaming on Paramount+ and Tubi.

Justice League UnlimitedJustice League Unlimited

Huntress/Question

Look how cute these two are:

https://media.tenor.com/8PT9ufdVEyEAAAAC/huntress-question.gif

Justice League Unlimited is a sequal of sorts to the original Justice League cartood with an expanded cast. Huntress and Question are both street level heroes with no powers; Question is a conspiracy theorist with a chemical mask that makes him look faceless and is, as he himself puts in, a "well-known crackpot," while Huntress is waging a one-woman war against the Gotham mafia underworld. They're both odd fits for the Justice League, all told - while Question's investigating prowess is so great that Batman asks him personally to look into Cadmus, knowing he'll dig up anything there is to dig up, his methods are...unconventional. As the same time he believes deeply in the JLU and at one point he comes very close to committing murder because he comes to believe that if he doesn't kills Lex Luthor, Superman will (he's convinced of this because it's happened in alternate universes) and Question is willing to sacrifice himself to save the League. He's obsessive and brave and tries so, so hard, and Jeffery Combs gives an all time voice performance.

Meanwhile, Huntress actually DOES get herself kicked out of the Justice League for being too violet; Question can fight but Huntress is easily the muscle of the duo and their dynamic is so much fun. Huntress will walk into hell for anyone she cares about and Question becomes one of those people very quickly

The three big Q/H episodes are: "Fearful Symmetry," "Double Date," and "Question Authority" - they're in a handful of others but those are the big story ones for them.
Fandom Specific Likes:

• Huntress calling Question Babydoll and Q, even after he’s calling her Helena, it’s the best

• Question’s absolute disaster of an apartment

• Question being delighted to let Huntress be his muscle, and him being a damsel around her in general (that one time she thought he’d been buried alive and she was ready to dig him out with her bare hands? The best)

• Huntress liking to lead Question along by his tie and Question very much liking her doing that

• I love Question’s conspiracy wall, there is never too much conspiracy wall

• Question being shy about Huntress seeing his face, and Huntress both kinking on his mask but also thinking he has a great face

• The true purpose of aglets being sinister

They’re so much fun. Please let them have adventures and solve mysteries and beat Question up so Huntress can stand over him and dare their assembled enemies to even try touching him again. I love how great each thinks the other is, and how Question went to very extreme lengths to help Huntress in their first episode just because he liked her, not at all expecting anything back (and how charmed she was by it.) I also love how obvious they made it that Huntress wanted to bang this man like a drum despite JLU being a children’s cartoon, please expand on that as much as you would like.

Extra Prompts:

- Question getting captured and tortured by bad guys again, and getting through it both through his usual method of being insufferable but also because he knows with 100% certainty that Huntress is coming for him (and Huntress losing her mind because this is not going to happen to him AGAIN)

- Question being very effectively framed for a murder and Huntress not believing it for a second, even if everyone else does

- Huntress doing something very dangerous and Question backing her without blinking or even asking any...well, questions

- One of Question’s conspiracy theories is actually true and the subjects are after him to shut him up

- Question showing up at Huntress’ door beat to hell and immediately passing out, and she has to protect him while finding out who did it

- Questions is missing but he left her clues to find him, and she has to figure out how to think like him to make sense of it

- Enemies of Huntress think that Question is a soft target, and while they’re wrong about that she’s still going to make them regret ever making that mistake

Hello Rare Male Slasher! That you for offering one of my favorite ships. I’m requesting a mix of current loves and old favorites, and please do not read anything into order or number of prompts or anything like that – I will be delighted with any ship here, I just have more ideas for some than others. Since these are rare ships I’ve tried to include some clips or panels that show what I really love about them, and doing so made me fall in love with some all over again. ♥ Any rating is welcome.

I’ve also tried to include availability when I could; most are available via streaming in the US, but I don’t know about outside the US availability.

Also, some of these ships I have requested before and my tastes are very consistent – if there was a prompt on a previous letter that isn’t on this one, it is either because I am a dummy and forgot or because I ran out of space, feel free to use any past prompts if there was one that particularly struck your eye, that would be amazing.

DNWs: noncon, A/B/O, D/s with lots of formal negotiation, face-sitting, bathroom related bodily fluids, violence directed at genitals, pregnancy, bashing of canon love interests, daddy kink, permanent character death of named characters not dead in canon, spanking, setting change/no power AUs

Treats of all kinds are very welcome and appreciated!

The Shade/Dr. Mid-Nite
Stargirl TV

Charles McNider/Richard Swift

McNider and Shade are only physically in the same room for…maybe five minutes?

All three seasons of Stargirl are streaming on Max, and the first two seasons are out on bluray.

Bring on the angst.

Carter Hall/Kent Nelson

Sebastian Blood/Oliver QUeenArrowverse

Sebastian Blood/Oliver Queen

Sebastian Blood/Oliver Queen/Slade Wilson

Sebastian Blood is an alderman from the Glades section of Starling City, basically representing the wrong side of the tracks, and a large part of his story is his mayoral campaign (tip for a long life: do not become mayor of Starling City.) Along the way, Sebastian develops a friendship with Oliver Queen, whose mother is the opposing candidate for mayor and also develops a friendship of sorts with the Arrow, who has his hands full trying to keep Sebastian from getting assassinated. Sebastian Blood is also Brother Blood, leader of what’s basically a cult experimenting with an experimental super solider drug, and his whole operation is being underwritten by Slade Wilson. Sebastian doesn’t know that Oliver is the Arrow. Oliver doesn’t know that Sebastian is also the masked weirdo he’s been tracking down all season. Sebastian doesn’t know Slade’s connection to Oliver, and he DEFINITELY doesn’t know that Slade has been lying his sexy ass off the entire time and intends to blow up the city to spite Oliver. The entire mess is the platonic ideal of identity porn and I loved every second of it.

The best part of watching the trainwreck friendship between Oliver and Sebastian develop is that they both genuinely love their city. When Slade targets Oliver’s family, Sebastian is horrified and wants to protect him because he has no idea why he’s doing that, meanwhile when Oliver finds out Sebastian is working with Slade, he tries to warn Sebastian because he know that whatever Slade told him is a lie, and he’s so desperate for Sebastian to believe him that he straight up tells him he’s the Arrow even though he knows Sebastian is working with his worst enemy. It’s so good.

Some clips:

Oliver and Sebastian talking politics and Sebastian almost getting shot:

Sebastian isn’t listening to Ollie, so the Arrow goes to warn him that what he’s about to do is way too dangerous:

Ollie tells him he’s the Arrow in a last ditch effort to get him to see sense:

Sebastian is a love interest for Laurel, which frankly only adds to the messiness of it all, feel free to lean into that or not.

    Fandom Specific Likes

Really leaning into the identity porn, where no one knows who the other actually is (except for Ollie and Slade, who knows EXACTLY who each other are)

      • Ollie being protective of Sebastian, even though he should be his enemy on multiple levels

      • Sebastian trying to do good in the worst possible ways

      • Sebastian speaking Spanish

      • Sebastian feeling out of his depth with Oliver’s absurd wealth

Prompts:

- Sebastian and Oliver fucking in Sebastian’s campaign office

- Oliver following Sebastian on patrols/tailing him to make sure he’s safe in a way that’s a little more intense than is necessary

- Slade figuring out that something’s going on here and hurting Sebastian to get a rise out of Oliver, with Sebastian trying to stay in character/protect his cover while Slade and Oliver have an entirely different understanding of what’s going on here than he does (this is an exception my noncon DNW, Slade can have a little noncon as a treat, although regular nonsexual whump is great too.)

- Sebastian getting caught in an assassination attempt – building collapse, bleeding out, etc., - and Oliver racing the clock to save him/having to deal with another crisis at the same time and knowing he might have to choose

- Sebastian coming back from the dead and dragging himself to Oliver’s door (maybe Barry did it? Who knows.)

- Obviously Sebastian is not a vampire in Arrow the way he is in the comics…but he COULD be. (Being stabbed changes a man.)

- Slade finding out that Sebastian is soft on Oliver and making him do increasingly depraved things to keep Oliver “safe,” while Oliver can tell Sebastian is unraveling but he doesn’t know why. Maybe Slade taunts Oliver with how it’s all his fault this is happening to his friend. (Feel free to change who knows what when from how it goes in canon.)

- Oliver and Sebastian having bad idea sex in general

- Slade surveilling them and watching Sebastian and Ollie together and absolutely not getting twitchy about seeing Oliver with someone else. (I ship Slade/Oliver very hard, so them having had that history on Lian Yu would be great.

Sebastian’s whole story takes place in S2 of Arrow, which is streaming on Netflix.

John Diggle/Floyd LawtonJohn Diggle/Floyd Lawton

Wilson Fisk/James WesleyDaredevil/MCU

Wilson Fisk/James Wesley

I adore Vanessa and while this isn’t the exchange for Wesley/Fisk/Vanessa, I think she would be 100% on board with that and them being together (Wesley did get there first after all) and frankly would be a little surprised if they hadn’t slept together at least once – like Wilson, you see the way he looks at you, right? Come now. I am very for wild amounts of pining from Wesley during canon periods, but if he comes back from the dead I would like them to on page get together if they hadn’t before then.

I love the way he takes his glasses off to talk to Fisk here, I wonder if he even needs them or if they’re just for the image:

Fanvid!

“I just, I don’t...like the way he speaks to you.”

Wesley is in S1 of Daredevil (with mentions in S3.) Daredevil is streaming on Disney+.

Savant/CreoteDC Comics/Birds of Prey

Aleksander Creote/Brian Durlin

Brian Durlin/Savant is a poor little rich boy genius hacker and skilled fighter who at various times is a villain or…lets say superhero adjacent. Oracle at one point makes a project out of him to turn him from villainy and it mostly works! He becomes a valued ally to the Birds of Prey team during Gail Simone’s run on the book, to the point that Barbara tells Batman, “He’s one of ours.” Savant also has a rather serious comic book neurological condition that affects how he processes time – a conversation that happened yesterday gets forgotten because to him that was ten years ago, or he forgets the order he met people when, etc., but it also lets him hack and train with incredible focus because two days pass by like two hours. This becomes a major issue when he winds up tortured by Calculator’s goons – this would be traumatic enough by itself, but because of how his mind works for the two years after it always felt like it had just happened. Aleksander Creote is Savant’s hyper loyal hired muscle right hand that he met at some point in Russia and from then on Creote was at his side. By all accounts it was love at first sight for Creote and Savant had no clue.

Things come to a head when Savant finally cracks under the post-traumatic stress; he forces a promise out of Creote to not interfere, then he lures Oracle to the top of a dam and tries to throw himself off after telling her how he couldn’t handle the memories of the torture any more, only for Barbara to throw herself out of her wheelchair to stop him. Creote then shows up and helps Barbara save him, and when Savant asks why Creote broke his promise Barbara tells him it’s because Creote loves you, you idiot. It’s so great.

I love them so much, and I love how Gail Simone writes them. I would be happy with anything here. I don’t mind a story set in current DC but I would like their BoP characterizations and character designs (which if the pin up in the Pride issue means anything they may be back to anyway? Who knows?)

Savant and Creote

    Fandom Specific Likes

    • Off the charts loyalty kink

    • Creote helping Savant manage his life

    • The size difference – Savant is tall himself but Creote is just a huge human being

    • The two of them training together

    • Competence porn from each of them

    • Savant’s very clear moral line coming up – he has an enormous file on various heroes but doesn’t use it, even under torture

Prompts

- Anything set while Savant is unraveling, especially between the faked suicide and the genuine attempt at the dam

- How they met!

- Creote letting himself be tortured because he knows Savant cannot go through that again, but Savant finds watching/hearing Creote go through it is even worse than what he went through himself

- Anything when they were undercover for Barbara in Calculator’s organization

- Interacting with Khoa or any other heroes who weren’t around during the BoP run (good or bad interactions!)

- Remember that stint Riddler had as a PI. That was great, right? Now imagine Savant and Creote working with him! Even better, right?

- Creote going missing and Savant panicking because not only would he not just disappear, he can’t actually be sure how long it’s been

- Savant getting kidnapped and while he’s not hurt, he doesn’t have access to the medication he uses to manage his condition and his sense of time starts slipping

- The two of them figuring out where they stand after the attempt at the dam and all the conversations they need to have (or that they don’t have!)

Creote was created by Gail Simone and his first issue is #56 of her 2003 run. Birds of Prey is available on DC infinite or in TPB (but not alas as an omnibus yet)

Wyatt Earp/Doc HollidayTombstone 1993

Thank you!

Hello Heart Attack Creator! This is my first time doing this exchange and I hope you're as excited as I am. I can't wait to see whatever you create, whether it be fic or a comic. All ratings are welcome.

DNWs: noncon, A/B/O, D/s with lots of formal negotiation, face-sitting, bathroom related bodily fluids, violence directed at genitals, pregnancy, bashing of canon love interests, daddy kink, permanent character death of named characters not dead in canon, setting change/no power AUs

General likes: UST finally spilling over, first time/get together fics, unspoken feelings that stay unspoken but are blindingly obvious anyway, bedside vigils/general watching over someone, fraught handholding (especially combined with the bedside vigiling) angst and uncertainty leading into happy endings, sneaking around, sex pollen especially when it’s one-sided, bloodplay, knifeplay, clothes sharing, dramatic rescues/sacrifices, pining, rope bondage, breathplay, road trips, significant gestures, missing scenes/episode tags, time travel, Groundhog Day loops, True Love Saves the Day, 5 Things fics, crossroad deals/deals with the devil, any and all kinds of supernatural nonsense, unexpected acts of kindness, someone physically putting themselves between a loved one and harm, creative use of superpowers

StargirlStargirl

Requested Relationship: Charles McNider/Richard Swift

• The Shade and Jennie-Lynn absolutely driving each other up the wall but then turning on a dime when the other is in trouble

I love Shadenite so, so much, I would genuinely be happy with anything. There’s so much room to explore how they went from theoretically being enemies to where they are when we meet them in canon, with McNider still rock solid in his (correct!) belief that the Shade was different from the rest of the ISA and the Shade so determined that Eclipso not ever be able to hurt anyone else. McNider spotting him at Rebecca’s funeral and (apparently!) not telling anyone! The Shade needing to down half a bottle of absinthe to work up the nerve to face him, only for McNider to refuse to let him take the blame for what Eclipso had done! At some point the Shade very obviously told McNider his tragic backstory! The little bits and pieces we get are so good, and I would love anything that fills in those pieces, both how they got there and what they do now. I’m fine with Myra being mostly ignored, but I do like having some guilt if things are happening while he’s married, or him desperately trying to compartmentalize his life (especially if he’s doing the secret identity thing, meaning there are huge swathes of his life he can’t share with her.)And the kids I like his life being messier than he ever let the rest of the JSA know (even currently! Completely headcanon that he was outright lying to Pat about things going great in S3, either because he didn’t want anyone to feel sorry for him or just because he’s so used to keeping up appearances.)

And the kids! I love Jennie and Todd winding up with the Shade so much (because while he only agreed to train Todd, it’s not like Jennie isn’t going to not be there too after putting all that work in to find him!) I love the idea of getting to see the them all taking those first steps toward becoming a family of a sorts (before some calamity happens and everything goes south.) I am always up for Alan coming back from the dead and Reacting Poorly, especially if the kids have very different reactions (I feel like Todd would have much less complicated feelings about the Shade than Jennie, both because he didn’t inherit Alan’s power and because he never had any real negative interactions with him – from Todd’s point of view meeting the Shade was the first time meeting someone like him.)

Extra Prompts:

- The two of them being captured by or having to team up against a common foe during their JSA/ISA days

- Anything with the Men of Tears – that was PROBABLY going to wind up being related to Johnny Sorrow and the King of Tears, but since we’ll never know, what was all that about? What were they after, and why did they need Richard Swift to do it? Was that targeted, or was he just convenient? What happens if their current day followers find him again? ("Current day" being open to JSA era or any time during present day canon.)

- The Shade training Todd and something going very wrong (I am very weak for any scenario where something terrible happens and the kids have to call McNider for help in a panic)

- Simon Culp possessing the Shade (with or without the Men of Tears being involved)

- Anything where one of them saves the other, especially when they were still “enemies”: a scientist or the government blackbags the Shade, a supervillain captures Dr. Mid-Nite and the Shade finds out, etc. The ISA capturing him and the Shade having to think very fast to help him and not give himself away is also very good

- Someone in the JSA finding out that the Shade and Dr. Mid-Nite are closer than they should be and reacts poorly, either back in the day or after one of them comes back to life

- When McNider found out about the Men of Tears, or the Shade finding out about McNider’s tragic backstory of the Maroni family trying to kill him and “only” blinding him

- The Guardians (officially or a renegade representative) or one of the aliens connected to the original green flame meteor deciding Jennie being born with her power and not being dependent on the lantern or the ring is too dangerous and coming to take it from her, and everyone around her going Absolutely Not

- Likewise, one of the Shade’s old crimes/enemies catches up with him and everyone around HIM going Absolutely Not, and the Shade being thrown because he’s never had that in his life...basically ever?

- Starman coming back to life (or any of the other JSA Classic) and trying to pick up where things left off superhero and villain wise between them and the Shade, either not realizing how things have changed or not able to, and everyone pulling together to stop them

- The Maronis coming after McNider again, spooked he's back after falling off the face of the Earth for ten years

- McNider was truthful when he told Courtney all that happened was the night with the absinthe was finishing the bottle and the SHade leaving, but he left out what happened when the Shade came back the next night. And the next.

Fandom Specific Likes:

• Magical nonsense. Anything and everything, I have no limit for magical nonsense

• Mission fic

• Amanda Waller being just the worst possible human being ♥

• Carter knowing that he reincarnates affecting how he thinks

• So much pining

• Kent running himself ragged using magic and Carter not able to stop him because it needs to be done but hating every second of it

• Wingfic, either magically grown wings or with Carter’s Nth metal ones. Kent growing wings would be fun

It’s incredible that there’s only fifteen minutes or so of these two, I would give so much to visit the universe where we got the three movie series showing how the relationship between them developed to where we meet them in Black Adam. I love how well they understand each other, and how obviously fond they are of each other. I love how just over nonsense Carter is unless it’s Kent’s particular kind of nonsense, and how much they clearly believe in the Justice Society and the good it can do, despite it being run by Waller! They both believe so much that heroes don’t kill, but again, Amanda Waller! They’re both so good.

Extra Prompts:

- How the two of them met (I very slightly prefer Carter being in the Justice Society first and then Kent being brought in, just because I think it would be very funny, but I would love any version of them meeting.)

- Obviously Kent is not going to stay dead. Please show how he doesn’t stay dead

- Kent getting hurt in a fight or tortured by bad guys, and Carter feeling something shake loose in his head at seeing Kent in pain or hearing him scream

- Kent getting lost in or shunted to another dimension and trying to reach out to Carter for help, but because of the way dimensional time works the Carter he reaches is a younger one who hasn’t met him yet

- Kent going missing on a mission and Carter refusing to give up on him

- Kent getting possessed or magically corrupted and again, Carter refusing to give up on him

- These two are made for soulbonds; anything with Carter having to soulbond Kent to save his life would be great

- Anything with Kent being hurt and in pain and trapped far away from Carter and reaching out to him magically, either walking through his dreams or showing up intangibly or anything else you could think of. Kent being hurt or dying and Carter being beside himself about it is my favorite HawkFate flavor

- Kent getting pulled out of his body and only Carter being able to see/talk to incorporeal him, and having to work against a ticking clock to put body and soul back together

- Outsider POV on Kent/Carter from Nabu

Doc/Wyatt is one of my oldest OTPs; I love the loyalty they both have for each other. The look on Wyatt’s face when he sees Doc stroll up! How hurt Doc is when Wyatt tries to convince him not to come with them to the OK Corral when things have boiled over. I especially love the Director’s Cut scene where poor Kate is trying to convince him not to join Wyatt’s posse and Doc just can’t comprehend not riding out with Wyatt. They’re wonderful.

- Similarly, Doc being hurt/captured by outlaws and Wyatt carving a swath through the town to get to him. I'd especially like Doc being very smug and sure that Wyatt will come for him even as he's bleeding and beat up, and ESPECIALLY especially if that really seems pretty unlikely, objectively

Hello! Thank you for choosing one of my favorite ships. I will be happy with fic of any rating, from G to explicit. I love all the ships in this letter; some them are current loves and others old favorites, there are no wrong choices, I will be delighted with any one of them.

Requested Relationship: Charles McNider/Richard Swift; Charles McNider & Richard Swift & Jennifer-Lynn Hayden & Todd Rice

• The Shade and Jennie-Lynn absolutely driving each other up the wall but then turning on a dime when the other is in trouble

And the kids! I love Jennie and Todd winding up with the Shade so much (because while he only agreed to train Todd, it’s not like Jennie isn’t going to not be there too after putting all that work in to find him!) I love the idea of getting to see the them taking those first steps toward becoming a family of a sorts (before some calamity happens and everything goes south.) I am always up for Alan coming back from the dead and Reacting Poorly, especially if the kids have very different reactions (I feel like Todd would have much less complicated feelings about the Shade than Jennie, both because he didn’t inherit Alan’s power and because he never had any real negative interactions with him – from Todd’s point of view meeting the Shade was the first time meeting someone like him.)

Extra Prompts:

- The two of them being captured by or having to team up against a common foe during their JSA/ISA days

- Anything with the Men of Tears – that was PROBABLY going to wind up being related to Johnny Sorrow and the King of Tears, but since we’ll never know what was all that about? What were they after, and why did they need Richard Swift to do it? Was that targeted, or was he just convenient? What happens if their current day followers find him again?

-The Shade training Todd and something going very wrong (I am very weak for any scenario where something terrible happens and the kids have to call McNider for help in a panic)

Mid-Nite are closer than they should be reacts poorly, either back in the day or after one of them comes back to life

- Likewise, one of the Shade’s old crimes/enemies catches up with him and everyone around HIM going Absolutely Not, and the Shade being thrown because he’s never had that in his life…basically ever?

Request Relationship: Carter Hall/Kent Nelson

ArrowverseArrowverse

Requested Relationships: Oliver Queen/Slade Wilson; Mick Rory/Leonard Snart

Fandom Specific Likes:

• Slade calling Oliver “kid”

• Temperature play for Coldwave

• Mick and Leonard pulling heists

• Ollie touching Slade’s scars, and vice versa

• Mick not realizing he was in love with Snart until he was gone

• Island fic for Slade/Ollie

Coldwave and Slade/Ollie were my two Arrowverse OTPS which…made life hard, considering how they worked out. XD For Mick and Snart, I love criminals with codes and Coldwave were such good examples of it, I would love anything with them crimeing it up, them making those fumbling first steps toward being heroes together and of course, any kind of fix it for Snart being dead. Please fix it.

For Slade/Ollie, I LOVE island fic and fic where the island is a huge echo in their lives, it created both of them in such a foundational way. I am also very into the two of them being drawn back into each other’s orbit when they’re firmly established as heroes and villains, canon life and death status be damned. Oliver finding out something terrible happened to Slade and not being able to leave it alone, even though they’re supposed to be enemies, or Slade showing up half dead at Oliver’s door because he’s run out of allies in some nebulous future time where they both happen to be alive would be excellent. I also love Shado! Feel free to include her if you do too, either in the flesh on the island or in spirit nagging Oliver from the afterlife.

Extra Prompts:

- Snart not having died at all in that explosion but just being unstuck or scattered through time

- Mick finding out that Snart has been alive and being held by bad guys all this time and freaking out about it, both because he knows exactly what that’s like and because how could he not have known?

- Mick having to watch badder guys hurt Snart, either during their crime days or while they’re with the Legends

- Likewise, Oliver watching bad guys torture Slade on the Island or getting video of it happening to him current day and realizing that he has to do something about this, dammit

- Any kind of hurt/comfort for the many times Slade got himself shot up, especially when he almost died from the infection

- Aftermath of Mick being mind controlled, especially flashing back to him almost beating Snart to death

- Slade and Oliver’s island training sessions turning into sex, especially them kinking of the swords or being tied up

GargoylesGargoyles

Requested Relationships: Owen/Xanatos/Fox

Fandom Specific Likes:

• LOYALTY KINK

• Magical nonsense

• Xanatos having a plan, and then several plans after that

• But also the opposite, Xanatos’ brain short circuiting at least briefly when someone he loves is in danger

• Weird fae politics and curses

These three are so great. Obviously I would love anything post-Puck reveal, with the way that altered the dynamics (if at all!) now that they know who and what Owen really is, but I would also be very up for anything with them doing crime together before that. Owen’s extreme, “Sure Sir, I’ll put my fist into this bubbling concoction because you told me to” loyalty is so good, and we see once he’s outed as Puck that even if this started as an amusing LARP as a human for him his devotion to Xanatos and Fox is very real. And of course Xanatos and Fox are so into each other, it’s such a great dynamic all around. If hurt/comfort is involved, I’d prefer Owen being the one getting hurt – Xanatos losing it at someone touching him would be fantastic, as would Owen realizing that this is maybe a big more serious post being hamstrung by Titania and Oberon. Plus Fox pulling rank over Owen being hurt would be fun, since is sort of? maybe? her subject? She would certainly give it a try, anyway!

(I know this request is basically a lot of words to say "Please whump Owen Burnett" but I am what I am.)

Extra Prompts:

- An enemy of Titania and Oberon’s tries to strike at them by assassinating Fox and/or Alex, and Owen puts himself in the way

- Something happens to magic and it really affects Owen

- Owen not actually being even a little bit human becomes a serious, will be fatal for him problem, so Xanatos and Fox initiate a three way soul bond to save him over his very strenuous objections because he understands the consequences (but when has Xanatos ever listened to anyone else? Never.)

- A scheme going uncharacteristically wrong for Xanatos and Owen sacrificing himself so Fox and he can escape, with the two of them hatching a rescue mission immediately

- A plan hinging on leaving Owen (temporarily) in peril and Xanatos and Fox having a lot of feelings about it because the reality felt very different than the planning had

- Owen training Alex and something going very wrong, because someone laid a magical trap or any other reason

Justice League UnlimitedJustice League Unlimited

Requested Relationship: Huntress/Question

- Huntress doing something very dangerous and Question backing her without blinking or even asking any…well, questions

TombstoneTombstone

Requested Relationship: Wyatt Earp/Doc Holliday

Fandom Specific Likes:

• Wyatt watching Doc’s hands as he plays piano or poker

• Wyatt watching Doc in general really, to catch him if he over exerts himself or mouths off to the wrong people, etc

• Doc enjoying shocking Wyatt

• Wyatt defending Doc to Virgil, who disapproves of all of this

Doc/Wyatt is one of my oldest OTPs; I love the loyalty they both have for each other. The look on Wyatt’s face when he sees Doc stroll up! How hurt Doc is when Wyatt tries to convince him not to come with them to the OK Corral when things have boiled over. I especially love the Director’s Cut scene where poor Kate is trying to convince him not to join Wyatt’s posse and Doc just can’t comprehend not riding out with Wyatt. They’re wonderful.

Extra Prompts:

- A cocky gunslinger rides into town bragging that he shot the great Doc Holliday the next town over and Wyatt completely losing his shit

- Anything from the beginning – how they met, the first time Doc had a consumptive fit in front of him, the first time they got into a gunfight together, first kiss, all of it

Hello and thank you for choosing one of my favorite ships to put through the wringer! H/C is my favorite trope so this exchange is always like Christmas for me. Treats of all kinds are very welcome.

I am A-OK with graphic violence that falls short of outright permanent maiming beyond what canon's already done to them. Any range of explicit fic is welcome, from gen to E. Freeforms are prompts in and of themselves! Not all freeforms have extra prompts elaborating on them, and amount of prompts does not correspond to any kind of favoritism, I am just very wordy - I will be happy with any chosen pairing and any free form.

DNWs: noncon, A/B/O, D/s with lots of formal negotiation, face-sitting, bathroom related bodily fluids, violence directed at genitals, pregnancy, bashing of canon love interests (if it's an / fic set when McNider should canonically married, I'm equally fine with Myra being ignored, the reunion not being as rosy a picture as he'd painted or with him feeling guilty about the emotional or actual infidelity and managing to compartmentalize it as long as it's not the main focus), permanent character death of named characters not dead in canon, setting change/no power AUs

Shadenite

I love these two so, so much - I requested both / and & because there are definitely periods where things would not be very romantic between them, and I will be very happy with anything where they're intense about each other. I love JSA era, with the two of them first meeting and making those tentative first steps toward trusting each other - from what we see of him in canon it seems like it has been a WHILE since Shade's had anyone in his life who care if he was hurt. They're both people who had incredibly traumatic things that irrevocably changed them as their origin stories and reacted in the exact opposite ways: Charles kept pushing forward twice as hard and decided to superhero it up, while the Shade withdrew from the people who loved him and tried real hard to pretend to himself that he didn't have feelings (when he has so many feelings.) I love that push and pull, and how Charles is the person he finally lets himself reach out to. And in canon era I love how Charles was completely vindicated about who the Shade was. Just love them a lot.

I enjoy Todd and Jennie-Lynn a bunch, feel free to include them if the time set and story allow it!

Helping hurt character to dress/undress

Extra Prompts

- Pain or injury making the Shade very obviously nonhuman - being ice cold to the touch, turning intangible if he doesn't focus, bleeding shadows instead of blood, shadows moving beneath his skin, him being too weak or it being too painful to hold his form (maybe with McNider having coax him out of shadow form, or hold his hand to keep him solid) etc. I'd prefer him not being kicked all the way back to baseline human, even magically.

- The Shade goes to the Shadowlands for what is supposed to be a quick trip, but the Shadowlands won't let him leave (because Eclipso still has a sliver of power there and he's going to use all of it making the Shade suffer? Another enemy ambushes him there? He goes in already hiding an injury and doesn't have enough juice to get out? ~Something~ there liked having McNider as an unusually long term resident and is trying to lure him back? Go nuts)

- The Men of Tears get their hands on him again, and they intend to get the ritual right this time

- the Shade gets hurt enough/is in enough pain that he just thinks the Men of Tears have him again, and McNider needs to talk him down

- Anything with Simon Culp possessing him, with or without the rest of the Men of Tears (because let's be real, he was definitely one of the Men of Tears)

- JSA era Shade goes on what certainly looks like a murder spree and the JSA is making plans to take him down, but McNider knows there's no way this is what it looks like

- JSA era Shade shows up hurt at McNider's clinic or at his house because he's the best of his bad options and he trusts his enemy more than he trusts Dragon King or anyone else in the ISA knowing he's hurt (anything with McNider finding Shade dying on his kitchen floor, really)

- Shade coming to in McNider's house but not remembering what happened to him or how he got there

- early JSA era Shade gets hurt in a "if he makes it through the night he'll be fine" way, and McNider sits with him the whole time with Shade having a hard time wrapping his mind around why he would care

- Shade takes a full power blast of green fire or from the staff, etc, and McNider keeps an eye on him/tracks him down after the fight because he knows he's hurt bad

- McNider not knowing how to fix what's wrong with him because he's made of shadows and not blood, or having to improvise surgery to save him (McNider just being stubborn as hell about not letting him die in general)

- Pick an evil DC scientist - they've snatched the Shade to figure out how he works/they want to weaponize what he does/genuinely think they're doing the JSA a solid and McNider goes, "Oh no, I'm not good with any of this."

- The JSA catches him but how they caught him/how they're holding him/both is killing him but Shade is being so annoying about it that only McNider believes him

- Someone - the Spectre, Alan, Wesley in a dream, or really any of the JSA hotheads find out about the night Shade dropped by McNider's house (or if he's dropped by any other nights!) and immediately leap to the worst possible conclusion - that he's threatening McNider, or there's mind control happening, etc., and decide they need to do something about it

- Variation on the above where Alan was in love with Charles back in the JSA days but so deeply closeted even he didn't realize it, and anyway Chuck was such a family man that nothing could come of it even if he could look at what he felt directly (from the kids' ages we know Charles was probably the first to have a child, if she'd lived Rebecca would be a couple of years older than the twins,) and he reacts poorly when he finds out Charles' personal life is much messier than he'd realized, either when everything was falling apart at the end or after Alan gets resurrected. (In general I am always up for those last few months being messier than we've seen - we only know what Pat knows, and Pat both puts the JSA on a pedestal and only really knows what Sylvester knew, we saw that at least some of the members kept Pat at arm's length. Even if they personally were friends, McNider was very unlikely to be confiding anything the Shade related to Pat or Sylvester.)

- Stretching the term "hero" a little bit - Ultra-Humanite sure did seem to be feeling out what the hell was going on there, right? I'd love an S3 AU where he pokes at that a little bit more (this also works for the Hurt Charles catagory!)

- One of the JSA comes back from the dead a little crazy and goes right for the Shade, either because they don't realize it's been ten whole years or they don't believe that anyone is safe as long as any of the ISA are left (I always love the Spectre for this kind of thing, or Alan panicking when he see Shade with his kids, or even Starman once he gets re-brained and can't make sense of Shade and McNider being close and Shade being so accepted)

- JSA era McNider makes a device that's only supposed to slow the Shade down, but it almost kills him/will kill him unless he's able to reverse it (bonus angst points if anyone on the JSA is all "Wow Doc, that worked great, congratulations!" about the whole thing and he absolutely does not agree.)

- Shade being hurt enough that he's cold or can't catch his breath, and being afraid or confused because that hasn't been something he's had to worry about for almost 200 years

- The green fire burns he got in the Shadowlands aren't healing or are actively getting worse, and McNider knows the second he looks at him even though he seems fine to everyone else

- Anything with the Shade getting possessed/mind controled/Eclipsed and McNider walking right up to him and telling him to go ahead and kill him and of course he can't

- During the period between Rebecca dying and the final fight ISA fight when the JSA was getting real paranoid and jumpy someone gets convinced that the Shade was/is working with Eclipso and takes matters into their own hands

- Shade gets hit with an attack that is killing him and McNider reflexively reaches out to him, and the Shade winds up sharing his body until he recovers and can materialize again

Extra PromptsExtra Prompts:

- The Maronis kidnap McNider off the street because they are very interested in why he's suddenly reappeared after falling off the face of the earth for ten years

- the ISA for whatever reason are temporarily working with the Maroni Family and Shade has been tasked with spying on them so Icicle is prepared for their inevitable betrayal, and it's all very boring until he overhears some goons talking about how there's a hit on that annoying doctor who should have taken the hint the first time, or how they've connected the doctor they blew up years ago with the Dr. Mid-Nite who keeps messing with their operations, or even that they've caught Mid-Nite and plan to gift wrap him for Icicle, and Shade finds himself reacting with, "Oh no, that's the one I like."

- the first time Shade finds out about McNider's eyes

- the Shade talking to an injured McNider through the shadows but not being able to touch him or reach him

- the Shade and McNider in a situation where Shade is completely fine but McNider is definitely not - poison gas, air tight room, too long with no water, etc

- JSA era Dr. Mid-Nite thinking he's dying and asking the Shade to stay with him until he does, and the Shade having a very strong reaction to being asked that (he would in canon era too of course but I don't think he would need to be asked at that point)

- they did more than just talk that night with the absinthe, or if he was being truthful about that night McNider sure left out what happened when Shade showed up the next night

- JSA era Dr. Mid-Nite gets caught by a non-ISA villain when none of the JSA know where he is - Ultra-Humanite, Gentleman Ghost, pick a villain out of a hat - and the Shade either stumbles over him accidentally or hears him from the shadows and goes to investigate (if it was Ultra-Humanite planning to body snatch him but abandoning the plan when he finds out about his eyes that has the fun one-two punch of McNider going, "Oh thank God he's not stealing my brain/"Oh wait, he's only not doing it because I'm too defective, great")

- one of the ISA gets a lucky shot on McNider when he's separated from the rest of the team and the Shade eventually finds him bleeding out, saving him or at least keeping him stable until the rest of the team gets there (especially if the JSA assume the Shade was the one who did it)

- McNider talking Shade through doing emergency surgry or some other kind of delicate medical treatment on him, with or without Shade being able lean on his shadow powers

- Shade not being able to keep an injured Charles warm, or actually making him colder when he touches him, but Charles wanting him to stay close anyway

- McNider being in shock or otherwise delirious and thinking he's back trapped in his bombed out clinic and the Shade trying to keep him calm

- The two of them working a villain who isn't aware of Shade's change of allegiences, and Shade having to hurt him to seal the con (especially if it was McNider's idea)

- JSA era Mid-Nite gets captured by some or all of the ISA, and the Shade has to think fast both to get him out of trouble and to keep the rest of the ISA from finding out about his eyes so it's not a soft target in the future

Both Hurt

I am very weak over any kind of scenario where the two of them are snatched up by a third party and have to work together, especially if they're technically enemies at the time, it is the best. I love them realizing how well they work together.

Wounded doctor must give non-medical character instructions for how to treat them

Character A temporarily loses vision so B must be their eyes

Extra Prompts:- the Shade voluntering for/antagonizing the bad guys until they pick him for whatever torture/interrogation/experimentation is on the table because he knows he'll hold up better and doesn't want to think about that happening to McNider and McNider being furious and helpless about it

- The opposite, McNider stepping up because they've taken his tech and he pragmatically thinks that this is at least something he can do, or he's already hurt and wants to make sure at least one of them gets out of this (or maybe he's trying to keep whoever has them from finding out that Shade is a little more than just human, either to keep it as an ace in the hole or because it will go much worse for Shade if they find out)

- JSA era Dr. Mid-Nite promising the Shade they will get out of this together or not at all, and Shade at first taking that as empty superhero posturing until he realizes how dead serious Charles is

- McNider hiding from the JSA rescue attempt because he knows his friends love him and would forcibly rescue him for his own good, and he will not leave the Shade behind to suffer alone

- While they're trying to escape Charles is too exhausted or hurt to keep up, and Shade stays with him while he rests even though that's an objectively bad idea

- The two of them being kept somewhere that is brightly lit at all times, which ranges from annoying to painful for the Shade but is blinding for McNider, and Shade has to be his eyes when they try to escape

- The Shade uses his shadow powers to let McNider see through his eyes, but as an unintended side effect McNider can feel how much pain he's been hiding or how he's barely holding together

- Anything where either of them pass up the opportunity to escape because the other isn't capable of going with him

- The Shade being hurt or missing and McNider running himself into the ground trying to save him because he knows that if he loses one more person he loves he's going to crack up

Slade/Ollie

I love the tragedy of these two, how the fragile trust they built on the island was destroyed in that series of traumas and betrayals and misunderstandings. There is no Deathstroke or Green Arrow without the island, they created each other, and I love anything with that very long buried foundation coming into play. Or just straight up island fic! I love island fic.

I admit, my memory of later Arrow has gotten a little nebulous as to who was alive when, so setting something in some vague time where Slade is Deathstroke and Ollie is superheroing around is fine with me. I don't like Arrowverse Barry Allen and would prefer him not appearing. I did love Shado though, so feel free to include her! They were an OT3 for me, though I'd still like the main focus of the story to be Slade/Ollie. I love Slade always calling Ollie "kid," please include that but I don't like explicit daddykink for them.

Extra Prompts:

Extra Prompts:

- Anything with Ollie nursing Slade through the infection when he was shot in the arm, or nursing him when his leg got shot up later

- Deathstroke showing up at Ollie's door shot up/beat up because he's out of other options and Ollie having extremely mixed feelings about this

- Ollie finding out through superhero channels that Deathstroke was caught by a different bad guy or was betrayed by an employer and is being tortured, and his conscience getting very itchy even after everything at picturing him dying that way

- Slade getting amnesia where he doesn't remember anything past the island, and not knowing why Ollie hates him (but that he probably deserves it tbf)

- Ollie finding Slade dying/injured/rotting away in a cell and really wanting to leave him there but not able to bring himself to

- Shado's ghost appearing to Ollie and telling him that Slade is hurt and needs him

- Slade running into trouble on the island and hiding that he's hurt until he passes out at the worst possible time

- Slade getting captured and tortured by the island bad guys and Ollie having to pull out all the stops to save him

- Island bad guys grabbing Slade and throwing him in a pit or tying him up somewhere, etc, and by the time Ollie finds him he's delirious and dehydrated/too weak from blood loss to help with the rescue

- Ollie trying to keep Slade from bleeding out in time for Shado to get back with help, while Slade urges him to let him die or finish him off because if the bad guys get back first they're both dead

Extra Prompts
- On the island they're captured by bad guys and either Slade mouths off so they torture him because he knows he can take it or Ollie gets very brave and stupid because he knows they have a much better chance of getting out if Slade's healthy

- Bad guys torture Ollie on the island and he holds up better than anyone really expected but Slade is slowly cracking up watching it, which no one expected

- Slade giving Ollie tips to help him make it through the bad guys' torture because he's been here before, and Ollie feeling terrible about how awful Slade's life has been

- Bad guys giving Ollie the knife and forcing him to use it on Slade, with Slade being, "Go ahead kid, it's okay" about it, which does not help Ollie at all

- Slade patching Ollie up and ignoring his own injuries, with Ollie not realizing it for a long time how bad off Slade is

HawkFate

Please whump the holy hell out of poor Kent and by proxy whump Carter by making him watch Kent going through it, it is everything my heart wants. I would love seeing Kent in pain or in peril crystalizing some things for Carter that he'd felt but not realized, something that crept up on him before he could notice and now he might lose it. I love him noticing that no one looks out for Kent and asks him to do insane things as a matter of course and making a point of not being like that. Kent barely is allowed to be alone in his own head, let alone have the luxury of someone caring about him, and he's told himself that it's part of the sacrifice that's necessary to be Dr. Fate and all the good he can do while wearing that helmet. I love him thinking the chance for love has passed him by or it's something he gave up the chance for, but he still can't guard his heart when he looks at Carter. I like Carter standing up to Waller when she pushes Kent too far (because Kent is not going to stop if he can save someone) or is the one who puts his foot down and makes Kent stop when he's pushed himself too far. I love Kent not being used to someone being there to catch him and Carter not understanding at first why he's the one Kent reaches for when he's hurting (until he figures it out) but he'll be damned if he lets Kent fall. They're so good.

I love Amanda Waller; she is terrible and perfect, if she takes part in the story feel free to make her completely awful

I got an AMAZING back from the dead fix it in a recent exchange so I didn't specifically prompt for that because I'm still in the afterglow, but I am always, always up for Carter pulling Kent back from death.

Character A Lets Themself Get Tortured or Abused to Protect Character B
Rescue

Extra Prompts:

- Kent passing out/coughing up blood/otherwise wrecking his health with his magic and Carter hovering around him to make sure he's okay

- The conscioussness of a previous user of the helmet "wakes up" and takes over, and Carter is the only one who can pull Kent's mind back to the surface

- Kent/the helmet gets corrupted by a spell/evil artifact/other magic user and Waller treats him like a rogue nuke, but Carter is definitely not having any of that

- Kent asking Carter to stay close while he tries a dangerous spell, and Carter is able to steady him when things start to go wrong

- Kent needs sleep but he's restless from pain or magic overuse, but he settles down when Carter talks to him or touches him

- Kent gets hit with a spell that traps him in dreams; he'll die if he doesn't wake up and Carter goes into the dreamscape after him even though it could kill them both

- Kent goes missing after a mission but they find the helmet; Waller's attitude is "Well, good enough I guess" but it is definitely not good enough for Carter

- Kent grows magic wings as a side effect of a spell and Carter both gives him shit about it and is extremely turned on, but gets serious and takes care of him when things go wrong

- Bad guys have Kent and are hurting him; he shows up in Carter's dreams not expecting a rescue but just because he can handle it if he hears Carter's voice

- Kent voluntarily undergoes a ritual/locks himself in a magical device/etc that will save the world/the team/complete the mission but that is painful enough to essentially be torture, and Carter can't help him but he won't leave him, either

- Waller gives orders to leave an injured Kent behind when a mission goes south (maybe they'll go back for him later, she'll see how things go) and Carter is not obeying that order even a little bit

Thank you! I hope you have a great exchange!
