thracedtHello! Thank you for choosing one of my favorite ships. I will be happy with fic of any rating, from G to explicit. I love all the ships in this letter; some them are current loves and others old favorites, there are no wrong choices, I will be delighted with any one of them.

Fandom Specific Likes:
• The Shade being obviously not human, especially when hurt: colder to the touch than he should be, not breathing when he’s not making a point of it, bleeding shadows instead of blood, etc
• McNider’s being a doctor affecting how he thinks and his priorities
• Anything with how McNider sees, both the advantages and the limitations. I also like him having visible scarring when he’s not wearing his glasses or goggles which isn’t…strictly canon, I guess? But while we see he eyes through the goggles we never see his eyes open without them, so it’s possible
• The Shade having been a thief and a con artist in his mortal life coming in handy
• The Shade and Jennie-Lynn absolutely driving each other up the wall but then turning on a dime when the other is in trouble
• McNider getting very hot and bothered by seeing the Shade in less than full get up – missing the just suitcoat but still in the waistcoat and shirtsleeves for example, or in his shirtsleeves but still with the hat, or having to keep himself from staring at the Shade’s hands because he’s so used to seeing him in gloves.
• Shade loving to show off with his powers during sex and McNider loving watching him show off, but the Shade also being a little touch starved and almost coming out of his skin when McNider touches him
I love Shadenite so, so much, I would genuinely be happy with anything. There’s so much room to explore how they went from theoretically being enemies to where they are when we meet them in canon, with McNider still rock solid in his (correct!) belief that the Shade was different from the rest of the ISA and the Shade so determined that Eclipso not ever be able to hurt anyone else. The Shade needing to down half a bottle of absinthe to work up the nerve to face him, only for McNider to refuse to let him take the blame for what Eclipso had done! At some point the Shade very obviously told McNider his tragic backstory! The little bits and pieces we get are so good, and I would love anything that fills in those pieces, both how they got there and what they do now. I’m fine with Myra being mostly ignored, but I do like having some guilt if things are happening while he’s married, or him desperately trying to compartmentalize his life (especially if he’s doing the secret identity thing, meaning there are huge swathes of his life he can’t share with her.) I like his life being messier than he ever let the rest of the JSA know (even currently! Completely headcanon that he was outright lying to Pat about things going great in S3, either because he didn’t want anyone to feel sorry for him or just because he’s so used to keeping up appearances.)
And the kids! I love Jennie and Todd winding up with the Shade so much (because while he only agreed to train Todd, it’s not like Jennie isn’t going to not be there too after putting all that work in to find him!) I love the idea of getting to see the them taking those first steps toward becoming a family of a sorts (before some calamity happens and everything goes south.) I am always up for Alan coming back from the dead and Reacting Poorly, especially if the kids have very different reactions (I feel like Todd would have much less complicated feelings about the Shade than Jennie, both because he didn’t inherit Alan’s power and because he never had any real negative interactions with him – from Todd’s point of view meeting the Shade was the first time meeting someone like him.)
Extra Prompts:
- The two of them being captured by or having to team up against a common foe during their JSA/ISA days
- Anything with the Men of Tears – that was PROBABLY going to wind up being related to Johnny Sorrow and the King of Tears, but since we’ll never know what was all that about? What were they after, and why did they need Richard Swift to do it? Was that targeted, or was he just convenient? What happens if their current day followers find him again?
-The Shade training Todd and something going very wrong (I am very weak for any scenario where something terrible happens and the kids have to call McNider for help in a panic)
- Simon Culp possessing the Shade (with or without the Men of Tears being involved)
- Anything where one of them saves the other, especially when they were still “enemies”: a scientist or the government blackbags the Shade, a supervillain captures Dr. Mid-Nite and the Shade finds out, etc. The ISA capturing him and the Shade having to think very fast to help him and not give himself away is also very good
- Someone in the JSA finding out that the Shade and Dr. Mid-Nite are closer than they should be reacts poorly, either back in the day or after one of them comes back to life
- When McNider found out about the Men of Tears, or the Shade finding out about McNider’s tragic backstory of the Maroni family trying to kill him and “only” blinding him
- The Guardians (officially or a renegade representative) or one of the aliens connected to the original green flame meteor deciding Jennie being born with her power and not being dependent on the lantern or the ring is too dangerous and coming to take it from her, and everyone around her going Absolutely Not
- Likewise, one of the Shade’s old crimes/enemies catches up with him and everyone around HIM going Absolutely Not, and the Shade being thrown because he’s never had that in his life…basically ever?

• Wingfic, either magically grown wings or with Carter’s Nth metal ones. Kent growing wings would be fun
It’s incredible that there’s only fifteen minutes or so of these two, I would give so much to visit the universe where we got the three movie series showing how the relationship between them developed to where we meet them in Black Adam. I love how well they understand each other, and how obviously fond they are of each other. I love how just over nonsense Carter is unless it’s Kent’s particular kind of nonsense, and how much they clearly believe in the Justice Society and the good it can do, despite it being run by Waller! They both believe so much that heroes don’t kill, but again, Amanda Waller! They’re both so good.
Extra Prompts:
- How the two of them met (I very slightly prefer Carter being in the Justice Society first and then Kent being brought in, just because I think it would be very funny, but I would love any version of them meeting.)
- Obviously Kent is not going to stay dead. Please show how he doesn’t stay dead
- Kent getting hurt in a fight or tortured by bad guys, and Carter feeling something shake loose in his head at seeing Kent in pain or hearing him scream
- Kent getting lost in or shunted to another dimension and trying to reach out to Carter for help, but because of the way dimensional time works the Carter he reaches is a younger one who hasn’t met him yet
- Kent going missing on a mission and Carter refusing to give up on him
- Kent getting possessed or magically corrupted and again, Carter refusing to give up on him
- These two are made for soulbonds; anything with Carter having to soulbond Kent to save his life would be great
- Anything with Kent being hurt and in pain and trapped far away from Carter and reaching out to him magically, either walking through his dreams or showing up intangibly or anything else you could think of. Kent being hurt or dying and Carter being beside himself about it is my favorite HawkFate flavor

Coldwave and Slade/Ollie were my two Arrowverse OTPS which…made life hard, considering how they worked out. XD For Mick and Snart, I love criminals with codes and Coldwave were such good examples of it, I would love anything with them crimeing it up, them making those fumbling first steps toward being heroes together and of course, any kind of fix it for Snart being dead. Please fix it.
For Slade/Ollie, I LOVE island fic and fic where the island is a huge echo in their lives, it created both of them in such a foundational way. I am also very into the two of them being drawn back into each other’s orbit when they’re firmly established as heroes and villains, canon life and death status be damned. Oliver finding out something terrible happened to Slade and not being able to leave it alone, even though they’re supposed to be enemies, or Slade showing up half dead at Oliver’s door because he’s run out of allies in some nebulous future time where they both happen to be alive would be excellent. I also love Shado! Feel free to include her if you do too, either in the flesh on the island or in spirit nagging Oliver from the afterlife.
Extra Prompts:
- Snart not having died at all in that explosion but just being unstuck or scattered through time
- Mick finding out that Snart has been alive and being held by bad guys all this time and freaking out about it, both because he knows exactly what that’s like and because how could he not have known?
- Mick having to watch badder guys hurt Snart, either during their crime days or while they’re with the Legends
- Likewise, Oliver watching bad guys torture Slade on the Island or getting video of it happening to him current day and realizing that he has to do something about this, dammit
- Any kind of hurt/comfort for the many times Slade got himself shot up, especially when he almost died from the infection
- Aftermath of Mick being mind controlled, especially flashing back to him almost beating Snart to death
- Slade and Oliver’s island training sessions turning into sex, especially them kinking of the swords or being tied up

These three are so great. Obviously I would love anything post-Puck reveal, with the way that altered the dynamics (if at all!) now that they know who and what Owen really is, but I would also be very up for anything with them doing crime together before that. Owen’s extreme, “Sure Sir, I’ll put my fist into this bubbling concoction because you told me to” loyalty is so good, and we see once he’s outed as Puck that even if this started as an amusing LARP as a human for him his devotion to Xanatos and Fox is very real. And of course Xanatos and Fox are so into each other, it’s such a great dynamic all around. If hurt/comfort is involved, I’d prefer Owen being the one getting hurt – Xanatos losing it at someone touching him would be fantastic, as would Owen realizing that this is maybe a big more serious post being hamstrung by Titania and Oberon. Plus Fox pulling rank over Owen being hurt would be fun, since is sort of? maybe? her subject? She would certainly give it a try, anyway!
(I know this request is basically a lot of words to say "Please whump Owen Burnett" but I am what I am.)
Extra Prompts:
- An enemy of Titania and Oberon’s tries to strike at them by assassinating Fox and/or Alex, and Owen puts himself in the way
- Something happens to magic and it really affects Owen
- Owen not actually being even a little bit human becomes a serious, will be fatal for him problem, so Xanatos and Fox initiate a three way soul bond to save him over his very strenuous objections because he understands the consequences (but when has Xanatos ever listened to anyone else? Never.)
- A scheme going uncharacteristically wrong for Xanatos and Owen sacrificing himself so Fox and he can escape, with the two of them hatching a rescue mission immediately
- A plan hinging on leaving Owen (temporarily) in peril and Xanatos and Fox having a lot of feelings about it because the reality felt very different than the planning had
- Owen training Alex and something going very wrong, because someone laid a magical trap or any other reason
Requested Relationship: Huntress/Question
Fandom Specific Likes:
• Huntress calling Question Babydoll and Q, even after he’s calling her Helena, it’s the best
• Question’s absolute disaster of an apartment
• Question being delighted to let Huntress be his muscle, and him being a damsel around her in general (that one time she thought he’d been buried alive and she was ready to dig him out with her bare hands? The best)
• Huntress liking to lead Question along by his tie and Question very much liking her doing that
• I love Question’s conspiracy wall, there is never too much conspiracy wall
• Question being shy about Huntress seeing his face, and Huntress both kinking on his mask but also thinking he has a great face
• The true purpose of aglets being sinister
They’re so much fun. Please let them have adventures and solve mysteries and beat Question up so Huntress can stand over him and dare their assembled enemies to even try touching him again. I love how great each thinks the other is, and how Question went to very extreme lengths to help Huntress in their first episode just because he liked her, not at all expecting anything back (and how charmed she was by it.) I also love how obvious they made it that Huntress wanted to bang this man like a drum despite JLU being a children’s cartoon, please expand on that as much as you would like.
Extra Prompts:
- Question getting captured and tortured by bad guys again, and getting through it both through his usual method of being insufferable but also because he knows with 100% certainty that Huntress is coming for him (and Huntress losing her mind because this is not going to happen to him AGAIN)
- Question being very effectively framed for a murder and Huntress not believing it for a second, even if everyone else does
- Huntress doing something very dangerous and Question backing her without blinking or even asking any…well, questions
- One of Question’s conspiracy theories is actually true and the subjects are after him to shut him up
- Question showing up at Huntress’ door beat to hell and immediately passing out, and she has to protect him while finding out who did it
- Questions is missing but he left her clues to find him, and she has to figure out how to think like him to make sense of it
- Enemies of Huntress think that Question is a soft target, and while they’re wrong about that she’s still going to make them regret ever making that mistake
Requested Relationship: Wyatt Earp/Doc Holliday
Fandom Specific Likes:
• Wyatt watching Doc’s hands as he plays piano or poker
• Wyatt watching Doc in general really, to catch him if he over exerts himself or mouths off to the wrong people, etc
• Doc enjoying shocking Wyatt
• Wyatt defending Doc to Virgil, who disapproves of all of this
• Doc having a death wish and Wyatt desperate trying to save him from it, even if he knows in his head that Doc would rather die in a hail of gunfire than in his sickbed his heart can’t accept it
• Wyatt losing it at seeing Doc hurt or manhandled and not really thinking too hard about why he has that reaction, and Doc being very amused by all of it
• Likewise Wyatt not thinking very hard about how he keeps winding up in Doc’s bed (meanwhile Doc doesn’t care what other people think of him, but he does care what they think of Wyatt)
• Dramatic gunfights and bedside vigils after gunfights
Doc/Wyatt is one of my oldest OTPs; I love the loyalty they both have for each other. The look on Wyatt’s face when he sees Doc stroll up! How hurt Doc is when Wyatt tries to convince him not to come with them to the OK Corral when things have boiled over. I especially love the Director’s Cut scene where poor Kate is trying to convince him not to join Wyatt’s posse and Doc just can’t comprehend not riding out with Wyatt. They’re wonderful.

- A cocky gunslinger rides into town bragging that he shot the great Doc Holliday the next town over and Wyatt completely losing his shit

These three are so great. Obviously I would love anything post-Puck reveal, with the way that altered the dynamics (if at all!) now that they know who and what Owen really is, but I would also be very up for anything with them doing crime together before that. Owen’s extreme, “Sure Sir, I’ll put my fist into this bubbling concoction because you told me to” loyalty is so good, and we see once he’s outed as Puck that even if this started as an amusing LARP as a human for him his devotion to Xanatos and Fox is very real. And of course Xanatos and Fox are so into each other, it’s such a great dynamic all around. If hurt/comfort is involved, I’d prefer Owen being the one getting hurt – Xanatos losing it at someone touching him would be fantastic, as would Owen realizing that this is maybe a big more serious post being hamstrung by Titania and Oberon. Plus Fox pulling rank over Owen being hurt would be fun, since is sort of? maybe? her subject? She would certainly give it a try, anyway!
(I know this request is basically a lot of words to say "Please whump Owen Burnett" but I am what I am.)

- An enemy of Titania and Oberon’s tries to strike at them by assassinating Fox and/or Alex, and Owen puts himself in the way
- Something happens to magic and it really affects Owen
- Owen not actually being even a little bit human becomes a serious, will be fatal for him problem, so Xanatos and Fox initiate a three way soul bond to save him over his very strenuous objections because he understands the consequences (but when has Xanatos ever listened to anyone else? Never.)
- A scheme going uncharacteristically wrong for Xanatos and Owen sacrificing himself so Fox and he can escape, with the two of them hatching a rescue mission immediately

They’re so much fun. Please let them have adventures and solve mysteries and beat Question up so Huntress can stand over him and dare their assembled enemies to even try touching him again. I love how great each thinks the other is, and how Question went to very extreme lengths to help Huntress in their first episode just because he liked her, not at all expecting anything back (and how charmed she was by it.) I also love how obvious they made it that Huntress wanted to bang this man like a drum despite JLU being a children’s cartoon, please expand on that as much as you would like.

- Question getting captured and tortured by bad guys again, and getting through it both through his usual method of being insufferable but also because he knows with 100% certainty that Huntress is coming for him (and Huntress losing her mind because this is not going to happen to him AGAIN)

Doc/Wyatt is one of my oldest OTPs; I love the loyalty they both have for each other. The look on Wyatt’s face when he sees Doc stroll up! How hurt Doc is when Wyatt tries to convince him not to come with them to the OK Corral when things have boiled over. I especially love the Director’s Cut scene where poor Kate is trying to convince him not to join Wyatt’s posse and Doc just can’t comprehend not riding out with Wyatt. They’re wonderful.
